I had to think about this one for a while... Everything from Aeris Dying to the revelation from Lutz in Phantasy Star 4 (where you see Alis' past and all the different generations from the game in a flashback), to Snake landing on the Rig in MGS2. Link Riding through Hyrule on Epona for the first time...And the Opera Scene in Final Fantasy 6. But one stood out for me that a lot of people don't know about. There is a boss on Shadow of the Collossus. It's a giant flying serpent. And the only way to get on top of him it to ride your horse at full speed along side the boss until you are close enough to leap off and land on his flapping wing. This thing is almost a quarter of a mile long (relatively speaking), and the rush of seeing something like that (that you would normally only see in a movie) but being in full control of it, then hand over hand climbing up his wing and running along his back to get to the weak point, left me in awe for a long time after I finished the game. If I had to pick one great moment in all the games I have played, that would be it.
