A few additional NBK Megatron reviews have popped up lately - I wonder if this is a sign of wider distrubution of the item (finally) - I'd still like one if I can find a way that it's practical to do so - Perhaps HZJ can get him now.

The last 3 yellow NBK members finally got here  Tomorrow he can join his brothers. Hopefully, their big brother will get finished by the end of the year- Jinbao.

I've recently developed a huge interest in 3rd party and KO transformers (and KOs of 3rd party transformers  ) since watching some you tube reviews and seeing how high the quality has become on some. This Daban GB sparks my interest a lot, especially considering there is a yellow version, as shown on a Facebook page.

How long after a new KO is available in China can we expect to see it pop up on Ebay (or similar) for international shipping?

Where did you read it's $12? Do share! For that price I'm in!

 

When distributor, postage and import/export costs are all factored in, I expect each will be 20 - 25 odd $US. That $12 is probably the cost price. Still seems like an absolute steal though.

Seems some sample copies are in China? That's why I was asking how long before we can expect to be able to import them?

 

I buy off Taobao so some of those costs may be different or lower. So yeah, keen to know the China market yuan price.

A few quick looks on Taobao and there are 3 sellers taking pre orders but no indication of final price

 

Just recently I watched EmGo's reviews on sets A and B of the JinBao OS version, since then I've decided to upgrade to the Oversized KO Gravity Builder, which leaves me with a full set of NBK that I'll be selling to a local friend for $75. Don't get me wrong, the NBK set is still good, and while it did have its flaws, it was really hard to beat the price at the time. Interestingly, I believe I was already 4 out of 6 into NBK before JinBao's Oversized version was announced (or at least before I discovered it). At first I wasn't going to bother with the OS version, because I'd already finished my NBK set and was satisfied with my NBK Devastator, but - as I said, EmGo's video reviews completely sold me on the JinBao set.

 

Seems to me the vehicles in the OS version scale better with MP10 (around 1:35) and the normal scale is closer to MP10V (around 1:45), so I guess the size anyone prefers would depend on the size of the other bots they are going to match it with.

I certainly don't wish to distract from what this thread is intended for. (The NBK and/or the new Daban), but I just wanted everyone to see why I myself am really considering making the switch to JinBao. Obviously, this thing will need to be able to stand under it's own weight, and while the NBK technically can... The hip joints of Dump that form Devastator's thighs are certainly not the most stable. I recall when I first got him altogether, that he had a tendency to stand bow-legged.

 

I was making a list of all the KOs that these guys are doing, including Warbotron Bruticus KOs and Feral Rex. I have most of them, but I probably won’t get the Daban sets- they’re really more of a cheap alternative than a variant.

There are so many more KOs of this guy. Anyone know of any more?
