I see that Sirtoys has the first three yellow figures. Any word on when the whole set will be out?

Awesome set this is - has anybody put together a video of how to disassemble to paint all of the orange windows?

I saw someone post pics where they painted all the windows flat black - which i think appealed to me the most. I'm not really handy in terms of customizing - although I am handy enough to fix most bots that have had qc issues on me.

For those that have painted - how difficult was it to disassemble the pieces? Was it mostly screws or were there pieces that were assembled via snap together pieces. I'd be pretty scared to start taking apart pieces that snapped together...

I think the guy who did that paint job said it's just removing a few screws to get the windows out.

    Wow. Master painter.
So nice. Might need to buy another set to give this a less than stellar try.

The good thing about these guys is that they are held together with screws, no pins at all.

It's just a matter of taking a few screws out and pulling the pieces apart.

    Rejoice!

Crane is in the UK and on his way to me from hzj401. Should hopefully be here tomorrow.

It's taken the usual week from shipping for him to arrive as well. You cannot go wrong with ol' hzj401 that's for sure.

I've really enjoyed collecting these guys and I'm sure that the repaint value will just be another gift for them to give.

Was on a boys’ trip last weekend, and I returned to find Hook and Longhaul waiting for me. You know, whenever I see those orange-taped, lumpen, vaguely Unabomber-esque parcels from China, I get the tingles ...

So I finally got around to putting Devastator together at work today:
    24113C71-50F8-4BCB-9D0F-6F73964582CA.jpeg

Look at this big, beautiful, bastard! He’s fantastic! He’s huge, but well-balanced, and he’s at least as sturdy as any CW combiner I own. He’s Devastator! For the first time since I saw him on ‘Heavy Metal Wars’ back in ‘85(?), I actually have fuckin’ Devastator! That 10 year old version of me would never have believed that would ever happen. Life, man...

I’ll probably paint the windows purple and the forearms black, and I’ll likely get the upgrade kit for the old school head, but those are fun little customizations. As is, this thing is nearly perfect. I highly recommend it to anyone on the fence. For those of you waiting on final components - you’re in for a treat.

Tell me one thing: When I look at the Scrapper on its leg shape, I've always been concerned that joining the tractor cab to form the knee did not seem strong enough. What do you think of this joint?

Congratulations, it was fantastic! I am waiting for my last 3 NBK who have been missing in some earthworm hole of the Brazilian post office since November last year...

Guys... Someone close the NBK tell if the translucent versions and the yellow versions remaining will come out or they closed the production and who started the whole run out?

Feels sturdy to me. The cab ‘cockpit’ pegs in securely to the rear of the vehicle, and the long hinge piece (that connects the cab to the vehicle) fits nice and flush along the length of the vehicle itself.

I just took a few videos of me shaking the hell out of him - like, really, REALLY shaking him - and he stayed together. Unfortunately I couldn’t upload them to this post.

    Received Crane today.

Only draw back to the set for me is that there's hardly any friction to the combiner shoulder joints on the arm bots. The arms just flop down under their own weight.

That's the only niggle for me though. Overall, I'm really pleased with them.

There's a ratcheted joint in the shoulders as well that holds up the arms quite well. The range is a bit limited, but it's there.

For those that are repainting windows, what color and brand of paint do you recommend?
