Movies and Television - TFW2005 - The 2005 Boards <--- We have this for a reason. That said, I've heard of it, but never watched it.
It's only "alright". Cool mecha, too much fanservice. Story gets rushed horrendously because so many episodes were spent on stupid ecchi level plots. Ironically although Godannar is worse, I ended up preferring Godannar because it managed to work in a better story. This ends up being a poor imitation of Brave, with the little kids replaced with girls in their late teens and the girls in their late teens replaced with ladies who're probably suffering from chronic backache.
I really quite like it and am watching it again at the moment. Zwei focuses way too much on fanservice though...
The real crime is that Spoiler Sol Gravion gets introduced so late it gets less screen time, possibly because of the incredibly fanservicey first few episodes of Zwei taking up valuable plot time. Even though once the arc does kick off, it kicks off in a huge and awesome way.
I always like the first episode or 2 when the main guy character tries to fire off his foot/shin rockets, but they go into the robots chest, because he didn't call out the attack.
I've heard of the anime, but never got around to watching it. Went to Youtube, and saw this: YouTube - Gravion Wedding "Hey Eiji, wanna get married?" Priceless.
