Recent commission. A surprise gift for a lucky US soldier returning home from service tomorrow. Hope he enjoys them.

No idea WTF is up with the new camera, first attempt taking pics w/ the macro setting, I think it's defective, getting "fuzzy" images on some, reallllly frustrating.

it's a canon elph SD790 IS. supposed to be much better than the SD110 I had prior. I called cannon, told them I'm not getting clear macro shots with the "preset" macro feature, they tell me the camera's defective. I haven't had the time to head to best buy and swap it out to be sure.

Ah ok, I had a similar problem with a canon myself, went through two SD1000 in less than a month. I ended up switching to Nikon's.

LOVE Grapple! Just not feeling the other one as Hoist. Well done, but just doesn't scream Hoist to me.

I like Hoist's head better this time. The cannon he has in vehicle mode is awesome. What's it from?

I really like them both! One question, does Hoist have a hoisting arm for his alt mode somewhere, or just the two guns?

Love your Grapple. I have this exact mod planned out myself (once I buy Henkei Inferno to take Uni. Inferno's place on the shelf).

About your camera issues though- and sorry if this question sounds dumb or just insulting by my asking, but are you zoomed in enough for the Macro setting to set in? My camera's a Canon too (A650 IS), and I have to be quite a distance away and zoomed in quite a bit for the macro setting to work. Otherwise yeah, the picture would come out a complete blur.

Grapple is really really nice. Hoist I'm not so hot for, although the paint is very nice. that gun is just way way too oversized for a repair-bot.

Personally, I'm tempted to use the Ironhide/Ratchet mold as Hoist - he's been an SUV before, so it's not without precedent.

I was thinking of the option of using the Animated Ratchet mold as a base for a Universe Trailbreaker/Hoist. Mostly it's the front end's transformation, and I think the rear might be able to be worked into a truck cab & canopy with some major modding.

Personally, it's too much work that I'm willing to do for an Autobot that isn't Arcee (who knows, maybe later on down the road), but if someone's willing to do it, then by all means I'd love to see if my ideas actually work. LOL
