Who here actually likes theirs?
I know I do.
I like my maternal one, but he's dead. I hate my paternal one, but he's still alive.
I miss the days when you took me fishing Grandpa. You managed to fish my hat out of the water when it fell in, and you always put the worm on the hook for me because I couldn't do it.
Rest in peace, gramps <3
If you're lucky enough to still have them around, enjoy them, they can be loads of fun!!
Both of mine are gone too
I never actually never knew the one on my Dad's side. He died before I was born. Then there's Dennis (he's my Mom's father), my Grandma (Mother's side) got divorced, so, DENNIS. I haven't seen from him or heard from him since '05. Then there my step-Grandpa. We don't talk much, he rarely talks. I don't really know much about him (that I do know will not be put up here). He did get me a bitchin' Joker bobble head. BITCHIN'.
I like my step Grandfather more. I grew up with him, so i know him very well. My real Grandad never tought me how to drive a big tractor.
I met my real one once when i was 4. I've talked to him on the phone a few times. Sure he's a great guy, but i gues i just never really got to be part of his life.
Don't have any idea who my moms dad is. She ended up being raised by her mom and her moms friend. So now i have 3 Grandmas.
The one on my mom's side died just barely months after I was born . The one on my dad's side is still around, but he's in another state right now. So I really never got to know either of them that well, sadly.
Yeah, same deal here.
My grandpa was complaining the other day about my cousin. So I asked if I instantly became #1 because she was annoying him.
I was told, "You know I don't play favourites. I love you all equally. And you're all equally a-holes."
My Grandpa is pretty awesome.
never met my paternal one, but heard he wasnt that great. My maternal one was ok, he wasnt involved much with his grandchildren, but was a nice guy overall
My mom's dad died before I was born. My dad's dad died when I was 3, and I don't remember him at all.
My paternal grandfather was an incredible guy. He taught me all kinds of neat technical skills and told amazing stories. I lost him eleven years ago to a heart attack. My maternal grandfather's no less awesome. He has a great sense of humor, and indulges me any chance he gets. Unfortunately, he's been severely debilitated by two strokes, and probably hasn't got very long left to live...
Both of mine died before my parents where 10 years old.

2:12-2:30. My grandpa's dancing skills.
Both of them died before I was born
Both of mine are dead.
I was never very close with my maternal grandfather, but from hearing stories of my Mother's childhood I think he was scum. By the time I knew him, though, he was old and harmless.
My paternal grandfather was pretty sweet, though. Unfortunately, my memories of my Papa are really fading as he died only a few weeks before my 6th birthday. All the memories I do have are great, though.
Well my dad's dad is a pain in the ass well reasons are secret, but I had an okay relationship with my mom's dad, who passed in 1996. Before he passed he told my mom to tell me that we loved my drawings and that moved me so much that it push my limits to do my best. So thats what I have to say about my Grandpas.
I loved my mom's father dearly. He was like a father to me, when my own didn't care. Sadly, I only had him in that role for a short time before Alzheimers hit him. But his example was enough to help me shape the kind of father I wanted to be.
both my grandpas were already dead years before i was born.
both parents say i have characteristics of both of them. this frightens my maternal grandma somewhat.
