yay me! so with this guy, i complete my basebot line up pre 88 of: fort max omega trypty metroplex i scored this guy with a bin of just under a hundred pounds, been checking him out recently but was tough to track down a complete one with a bin price so had to do a double take on the price but i bit the bullet. ive been passing this guy up for a while, buying my time since he was the basebot i least liked from the above list. ive passed on him at least twice - once to get a boxed overlord, the other in favor of this years botcon set, but ive been on a roll recently with milestones (completed 84-85 cars and 84-85 cons recently), so this was a pretty sweet end of the year trifecta. so after this im chasing down the rest of the combiners but in meantime you guys can look fwd to group shots and diorama pics

Good work fella. I was considering selling my minty Scorpy a few months back when I was saving for girlfriends engagement ring rock but decided against it - he goes well with my Metroplex. Saying that, after fiddling with Binaltechs and Masterpeices for a while, I find Scorpy a little chunky and clumsy. So he sits in a box in my loft out of sight
Yeah Scorponok's great, I've still got my boxed example from '87 with all the parts. The base mode is pretty meh but I love the scorpion and robot modes. Is Fasttrack missing a gun, KA?
yeah i agree his base mode is a bit lacking (which is why i insist overlord is the better base bot con - he actually makes a good base mode compare to scorpy, heck, even trypticon makes a better base mode) but ive grown to like the scorpion mode. heck, ive even grown to like the colour scheme. i actually thought fasttracks other gun was missing. i just missed it inside the box, lucky i always keep the packaging around for awhile to make sure i didnt miss anything. hes got great stickers and chrome despite being dusty. one hitch tho. his right hand gun peg was broken, so i swapped claws. the screws show up in bot mode now but at least he can hold his gun proper.
Congrats. He was one of my favorites but I had recently sold him to help fund another a more expensive toy I wanted.

Very nice. Scorponok was a big grail for me, too, friend of mine as a kid had one but he never let me play with it, he brought it out and showed me what it did, then put it away and I'd get to play with Fasttrack at best. Torture, it was! Great feeling when I finally got my own. Wish mine came that complete though... lucky sucker.
