Just wanted to see who/ if any of you here on the boards bought either of the albums. I picked up Kayne's, and I have to say it's one of the best albums I have ever listened to. Catchy lyrics, amazing mixes and just memorable songs. His best CD. 6/5 (not a typo). Any other opinions?

I bought 50's album. Not bad, but not great. He's done better.

I love the opening song "good morning" on kanye's album. I don't listen to 50. kanye's a cocky mofo, though, so I'm kinda on the fence about supporting him, but I definitely like his music.

Kayne's the cockiest man ever. That's what makes him entertaining. Sometimes I think he's just parodying Hip-Hop artists, portraying all its cliche's.

Being cocky is pretty much a prerequisite for being in hip-hop, it seems to me. MC Frontalot calls it Braggadocio.

Kanye is one of the few rappers who i dont feel is trying to insult my intelligence or start a new club dance with his new songs.

I passed on both in favor for the new Foo, but I may get Kanye's album later on. Late Registration was decent, but Rap album just seem like nothing but filler with all the skits and excessive intros and outros.

i dont think he does it on purpose.....

oh yes and another thing! i like Kanye's music because it doesnt have helium pitched r&b wanna be's singing old 50's music as a hook

i will never for the life of me figure out why gangsta rap has a chorus sung by someone that sounds like alvin and the chipmunks. I love rap, but i hate just plain stupid music

Good thing about this album, there's none of that. Pure Hip/Hop album.
