Regardless of how weird they look, do bus drivers in that area get the jurisdiction to refuse passage to someone because they think they look strange?

If they were covered in knives or something I'd understand but honestly I've seen more threatening chains attached to wallets. :lol

Actually if they were covered in knives they probably would have got on the bus. Who the hell argues with someone who is covered in knives?

Last time I checked, GOTH was not a protected class so cannot be a hate crime or a civil rights issue.

I do think having someone on a choker chain in public could be considered an issue. Regardless what people are into, Consensual human slavery, humiliation, servitude and such that is hard to distinguish between 'willing participant' or 'mentally abused victim' so it is best left at home.

I think a Bus company has the right to refuse service for the Choking chain for safety and liability reasons.

That chick does look like dave grohl.

And yes, bus drivers like any business(in the US at least), have the right to refuse service to anyone, so long as it isn't due to some sort of prejudice.

They did not have to wear that crap on the bus, and they didn't have to ride the bus, and the bus driver was in the right to kick 2 weirdos off the bus that could freak out the other passengers.

I want to know how this is different than the people who put their kids on those leash things. It's just some fart trying to be an ass. If you ignore peoples behavior, they'll stop. No one stares, they'll dress normal.

Oh, this I have to hear.

First, I'd love to know what your exact definition of prejudice is.

Then, I'd love to hear why you think it's okay to toss two people dressed like idiots off a bus.

I got thrown off the bus once, but it's because I told some guy to go fuck himself after he looked at me funny.

I disagree with you. He called them "freaks" which is a derogatory term, and he basically called the girl a bitch by calling her a dog. What he did was wrong. If he wanted to do it properly, he could have refused them, but not made the smart ass comments. Also, when he shoved the guy, it became assault in the US.

You should've been wearing a jacket made out of knives!
(sorry the imagery of it is making me snicker a lot :lol )

Did anyone catch that the driver was off-duty when he shoved the guy/insulted them? Unless I misread it.

Because illegal discrimination is only based on protected classes.

Prejudice is not illegal. And you are allowed to act upon those prejudices as long as it is not against a protected class. Currently Clothing style and Behavior can be discriminated against, and they are frequently.

Many restaurants discriminate against clothing. They demand no shorts, no sleeveless shirts, all shirts must be tucked in, no hats and so on.

These are two idiots acting out human slavery in public and wearing an unsafe form of restraint. While the bus driver is an idiot and said ignorant things, he didn't violate their rights. (from a US point of view)

There is a difference between acting inappropriately on the job, which he probably did, and acting in a discriminatory illegal way, which he didn't.
