Thanks guys. We still have some small after market parts to put on it. We got a vintage Challenger script for the front grill and then this, will replace the dodge emblem on the hood. I will take some pics tonight.
That car looks nice in a real picture! I saw one at the local dealer a few weeks ago but none since. It's a tough choice between that and the Camaro, considering I am on Camaro #4 in my life maybe not that hard ;-) Still though, that is a gorgeous car! Love black on a muscle car.
Def a huge upgrade over that old stang. If you got it new which I am just gonna assume, how bad was the markup? Even with the companys going to hell, I still see huge markups on that car still. To bad its a auto.....
We did get it new, actually had to special order some parts. And there was no mark up at all. We actually got the car at about invoice.
Well, lets just say if the Camaro had come out first, I would have held out for the Challenger. It's not even close IMO. It drives great so far, even though the weather has been like 10 degrees with snow ever since I picked it up.
Like alphie said, there was no markup. Got it at $1,000 under sticker and then got extra for the trade-in so it was basically right around invoice ($2600 below sticker). How'd you know it was an auto? It is, but you shouldn't be able to tell. I know everyone says that, but I personally just don't get the "fun" from manual. Thankfully in this case auto is standard and I didn't have to pay extra. It is auto stick though, so I can pretend a little if I want.
The "fun" in a manual? If you don't get it, no one can explain it to you. It all goes to how you define "fun". And yes, I love a stick. I bought a Cobalt ( gas prices helped determine that decision ) and I got it with a stick. If I'm gonna have a weak motor, I want to have as much fun driving it as possible.
Nice! Does it drink premium fuel? Saw a new a black one at Sam's a while back right next to a new GT500.
