Ok, I know all of you must have like 100 of these and its old news... lol... but I am super excited because today I got my first ever G1 SOUNDWAVE!

The toy is complete, but no box. I was told mine is in great condition and the "eject button works" which apparently is a big plus.

Got lazer beak too, and they hooked me up with Ravage. I was also told that my ravage was in great condition because the joints were all tight and do not come open or move unless touched.

    Total Damage: $90

Local Toy shop in Dallas called Dallas Vintage Toys has all of this stuff. So, when I need a fix for G1 stuff: this is my destination now. :)

    Here are some pics.

    Ebay:
Nice. I ordered a figure from Dallas Vintage Toys on eBay once and they were very nice. They actually had accidentally sold the figure I had ordered, so they called me and reserved the next one they got in and waived the shipping charge. While it was a stupid mistake, the customer service was really good.

    Congrats.

I want a G1 soundwave too (again)... He's one of like three or four of my old G1s I plan to reclaim, but with MP-13 and the encore reissue on preorder, now is not the time to buy another Soundwave.

Yeah, some of the G1 bots are as much as a MP... lol... OR MORE...

Dallas Vintage has more than I could/would ever buy. Big boxed sets, MISB Jetfire... all kinds of crazy stuff. Its just a candy store to walk around in and see. Its amazing.

I hope it was a good deal. I got soundwave for $70 and ravage for $20. All parts are there too, even the cardboard character cards.

that's actually in really good condition, too. its almost refreshing seeing an original g1 soundwave with the proper-sized tape door, vs. the huge, double-capacity one that all of the recent reissues have :thumb

I like the blue on vintage Soundwave a lot more than what's used on reissue Soundwaves.

Cool buy. I try to go to DVT every other month or so. Can easily spend a couple of hours digging through all the stuff they have there.

Congratulations! Soundwave was always my favorite G1 toy when I was a kid (possibly still is)!

Congrats on your new find.... I wish we had a place like that around here... .there used to be 3 shops in town that had transformers, 2 have gone out of business and the last bought their stock and promptly sold off everything except G1 and then over prices them all. Talking like $60 for a broken, figure only, Soundwave, and he has 3 of them, just about all his stuff is zip tied to the star wars plastic figure containers and they rub the paint off due to how tightly he has them. He says it's that way due to theft at shows he goes to, but he's ruining the figures. Then he gets nothing but G1 so no classics or anything else, it sucks..

Soundwave is the single greatest Transformer of all time and if you disagree, I WILL fight you.

Don't forget to pull the rifle into "open" position in robot mode! And also, the guns become batteries that go into the compartment on the back, in case you didn't know....I never knew that as a kid and it bummed me out that I didn't find that out til I was in my 20s.

Don't feel bad, I've had RiD Prime since it's release and only today did I find out he had a built in "Matrix" under a hidden flap that I have never seen before. And I'm 33. lol

Nice. Congrats. Soundwave was my first TF as a kid in '84, and I love him more than any other. He looks to be in great shape. Enjoy him!

    Ditto, only... 5 years ago.

Always wanted a Soundwave growing up, and my then-GF gave me the TRU reissue for my birthday.

    ... the rest... is history.
