Hey all. I received in the mail today my Alternity BumbleBee and Cliffjumper. I've transformed Bumlebee into robot mode and wonder. He look's a little stubby! Meaning, short legs. Is he supposed to look like that or have I missed something?

Oh yea, I'm also very pleased to see that Cliffjumper's head is different than Bumblebee and that he's just not simply a red Bee. I hate it when they do that!
    Cliff's head is awesome!

Looks correct to me. At least, that is what my Cliffy looks like, albeit red.

It look's like it, but I think it is. I've tried to work it but it won't budge.

On the vid, at around 3:20, when Peaugh pulled the legs and compressed the hood, it looks as though that is what helps form the chest.

Yeah something's not right. His backpack isn't placed all the way down and his legs are not pulled out all the way. Is the tab on his back (just behind the back of his head) flipped down. He should look more like this.

Thank's for the pics. I'll have another look at him. There are some parts that feel too tight and I don't want to break it, so he maybe on the short side for now.
I may have another go at him later this week.

Though I can't really tell from the pics, it may be the small piece on his back that flips up to unlock the full sliding mechanism that is troubling you.

It's just overall a bad, poorly designed figure. I've screwed up the transformation several times, getting the steering wheel stuck under the seat. Each time it happened I stopped caring a damn about this figure a little bit more.

Is it that bad? I was thinking about picking up him and cliff? Should I reconsider?

Not at all; it is a fantastic mold so long as you take the time and make sure you are correctly transforming it. After the initial conversion to and from robot mode, you should have it down. I would suggest the reviews by Peaugh and Vange1us. They are very helpful for the transformation.

BTW, I would recommend Cliff over Bumblebee, just because the red is oh so nice.

My favourite Bumblebee mold of all time. Transformed mine plenty of times and I can do it now within a few mins. As long as the steering wheel is above the seats before going from car to bot you'll be fine.

The engine clips down in the crotch area - if you can do that then the bonnet is fully in. Oh and the back pack clips down too which you may have missed.

You know, the BB/CJ mold is the only one I haven't bought from the Alternity line. Convoy remains my favorite, followed by Megatron's, and the Seekers, while imperfect and fiddly, has its own charm. Maybe I should rethink my policy on buying BB toys (I never liked the character at all, even in the movies) and while there are some things I like about this mold (the alt mod is really neat), the bot mode... something is just weird about it to my eyes.

This mold rocks. Best Cliffjumper and one of the best Bumblebees of all time. OF ALL TIME!

I'm excited to see the upcoming Goldbug, especially since they use such great paint on these.
