    Yo.

Got my 360 Elite for my birthday. Also got Madden 08 for it (awesome game, btw). However I can only play so many times as the Broncos destroying the weak and pathetic rival NFC/AFC teams over and over and over. So I'm going to need some new games.

Halo 3, for sure, when it's released.

But other than that, I'm not a huge fan of first-person shooters (Call of Duty = neat, but not my type of game). Do enjoy the RPGs, and I'm curious if the 2K baseball game was any good or not.

    So help a guy out.

Well, I am not a huge fan of FPS's but I really love Gears of War and Bioshock. Bioshock more so for someone who isn't crazy about FPS's. Also, Oblivion 100%. I am playing Blue Dragon right now, so the verdict is still out on it, but you can pretty much assume that if you like Japanese RPGs then you'll like this. I also enjoyed Dead Rising- really fun with a lot of replayability.

    Gear de la Guerra
    Oblivion
    Super Mario Brothers

Haven't played Bioshock, but I recommend it anyway because I trust the developer.

Oh and congrats Kick, I'll be there in November.

    Ebay:
Bioshock (only an FPS if you want it to be, it's way more of an FPAdventure)
    Marvel Ultimate Alliance
    Guitar Hero 2
Ninety Nine Nights (if you can get it cheap it's a batshit insane game)
    Dead Rising
    Worms on XBLA

Also check out the XBox backwards compatibility list, there are a bunch of cool games there too.

    First of all, congratulations.

I am not that much into FPS games either, but Bioshock owns me right now.
It is very much the experience people say it is.
Gears of War's awesomeness has been debated but I am firmly in the "Gears is Awesome!!11!!111" category. It is not a FPS and it does not play like one.
If you get it and want to play the coop mode with some one, look me up.

I would also like to say that Dead Rising and Lost Planet are absolutely worth the $30.

I recommend you check out Bioshock (there is a demo on Live)
    Other games I'd recommend:
    Crackdown (again demo on Live)
    Dead Rising is good
Rainbow Six: Vegas looks beautiful on the 360 and plays great, especially if you are playing co-op mode online.

Also check out some of the Live Arcade games.
There's gems like Sonic (400 MS points) Sonic 2 (400 MS points) Bomberman Live (800 MS points) Geometry Wars, Worms and Castlevania SOTN

Even if Gear's genre isn't your cup of cow milk, you should try it anyway. It's definitely an experience and it lets you see what these guys can do with a next gen system.

Rainbow Six Las Vegas and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfight 2 are both excellent combat shooters.

Gears of War is also a combat shooter as well, and if you want a game that shows the power of the 360, that is it!

Bioshock is a work of art.

Keep your eye out for games that're coming out soon like Assassins Creed and Mass Effect. There's going to be quite a selection of games in October and November as well, its like a big titles coming for the 360 soon.

I know you are not a big FPSS fan, but while in Target today I noticed they dropped the price of FEAR for the 360 to $30. It's a very good FPS, that becaomes awesome at only $30. It must be noted that FEAR is best when played after dark, with all the shades drawn, and home alone.

Bioshock is pure kickass. I've only played the PC version though.

The best games now are mostly FPS. It's the most popular genre, so it gets the most money thrown at. Everyone wants a piece of the action.

Another game coming out soon that looks like pure love...Conan.

Maybe not your cup of tea, but I've been playing the shit out of Dynasty Warriors: Gundam since I bought it (40+ hours according to my save file). There's just something addictive about slaughtering hundreds of mass-produced mobile suits.

    Viva Pinata.

If you have any interest in skateboarding then try out Skate as well. Blitz the Legue is a fun arcadey football game. Forza 2 is the best sim style racing game and can be arcadey if you want it to be. Kameo and King Kong can be fun and are both very cheap now. Just Cause is pretty entertaining too, theres a demo for it but I'd only buy it if you can find it on the cheap.

Also also get the Play and Charge Kit and if you have know people who use Windows Live Messenger or who have set it up on their 360 the Messenger Kit is pretty sweet. The wireless headset is sweet too.
