I like making chicken strips from scratch. my secret to making them taste great is in the breading. I don't simply salt and pepper it. I use seafood seasoning. Just don't go overboard with it. and it makes the chicken Zing! when ya bite into it. Best thing about food, is experimentation. substitute Cajun seasoning for seafood seasoning. try Lowry's, try Greek, try whatever. Everything tastes like chicken, so everything should go great with chicken.
Do you suppose they might burst less if you don't put them in frozen? After all, we know what happens when you fry a frozen turkey...
