Ok got my X-Box 360 the other day. Tomorrow I'm picking up few cables to hook it up to the net. Will also get a marketplace card and Live Gold 3 month account to give it a try. I've already got Halo 1-3, Dead Rising, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (GOTY edition), and Call of Duty 2. Any other X-Box/360 games I should look into? Any accessories like a chargeable battery pack or something. Thanks in advance.

 

Stay away from the battery packs. Just buy yourself some rechargeable AA batteries. I would also highly recommend Bioshock. Gears of War is also incredibly well received.

Can't agree. I had nice Rechargables from Sam's Club and I had to get rid of them as they lose there power to dam fast. Switched to a Plug and )Play Kit and a 2nd Pack and would never turn back. 5 Seconds Swaps while in Battle work pretty dam good. I also thing the little extra weight from the Battery Packs feels better on the control.

For the Thread guy, PGR4 and Orange Box are out soon in the next week or so. Plenty of Live Arcade titles that can give you alot more fun than you would expect like Uno. Can be real crazy if your playing with a Camera on.

 

Agreed on the Crackdown. There is noting like kicking a perp halfway across the city.

Also Medal of Honor Airborne, is a great FPS. There are some really great heart pounding, oh $h!t is that a MG-42 pointed me, moments.

 

Viva Pinata - $20 best game that no one ever buys but everyone loves. Definatley play and charge kit, I can't stand things that run off standard batteries and you can recharge the controller as you're playing it.

 

Rainbow Six: Las Vegas was the game that made me want to get the 360, that game is a vicious shoot out.

 

The comingoutsoonish Orange Box gives you Half Life 2, both episodic expansions, Portal and Team Fortress 2 all for $60, definately get that if you aren't getting it for the PC.

I only went half way thru it and just cant put it back in with Halo 3 right now. Wish I would of gone further.

 

Thankfully I don't have that problem. (What with the not liking Halo and all)

And to those guys talking about Viva Piñata, you convinced me to get it. I love giving "love" to those games that are excellent but no one gives them a chance (ie. Beyond good and Evil, Ico).

Edit: I just asked Oprah about Viva Piñata... "Best 360 game ever." Guess I should definitely pick it up.

Yeah, Viva Pinatta is a good game. I got it so I can break away from my regular seasion of violence on my 360.

I tend to taunt my roommate when she plays when she "romances" two pinattas by saying that they're getting on doing the nasty. Doing the nasty harder and faster, yeah, they want candy, yeah.

Ugh, I'm thinking I should edit that out now.

 

Get Halo 3. You know you want to.

...Because I sure as hell want it. And an Xbox 360 to go with it.
