First tv, now commercials on youtube.
Is there a reason I should be surprised by this? Besides the fact that it took this long?
No different than the multitude of Flash ads on just about every other site. Click the little "X" and close out the ad, or let it play for 10 seconds. It's annoying, but it's not as bad as peopel want to make it out to be.
YouTube sold to google because while their technology was a great, great success, it failed to bring in revenue. Google are just taking the only logical step they can to keep the service free for users.
And it's only on videos from big corporations like NBC. User-uploaded videos are still ad-free.
And that's if you can find the "X." I think half the time I tried to close the ad, I ended up clicking on it.
Agreed. I'd much rather see ads on videos (most of which, by the sound of it, I probably won't watch anyway) than see YouTube end up a subscriber only service.
That's fair then, this shouldn't be too bad at all really
Better stay that way, too. If I see one ad playing on an old Angry Video Game Nerd vid I'm watching on Youtube, I'll be pissed.
