I know what to use to remove to stripes that are on solid plastic but the sections on the roof are the hard part. I'm thinking of taking them off but is there a good way to do it or just being very careful?

I would sand them off and repaint the entire roof.

the entire roof is clear plastic. the entire roof is painted. unlike the other parts, the only thing painted is the stripes, you can just remove the stripes with alcohol. you can not remove just the stripes without damaging the finish and paint of the roof.

the differences in colour between parts will tell you which onesare painted and which ones are the colour of the parts itself. you'd probably have to repaint the entire thing a to make it all look nice and sharp.

....yep. And keep alcohol away from the clear plastic. It makes it brittle.

Yeah, I did too. Man, it's such a crappy feeling when you break a transformer while doing a custom. Makes you learn quick what not to do. Lol.

I didn't know that... Now you've got me worried about the Classic Cliffjumper I'm making out of a black-striped Bee. I used alcohol on q-tips to clean the black stripes off, and to clean the windows from overspray.

it only makes it brittle if you soak it.

Thanks for reminding me. I learned this trying to remove a marker-drawn price from the roof of a used Skids. Didn't make it brittle, but fogged up the entire roof.
