Hey guys! I was just looking for some advice. I've been after Grimlock for a long time, I was really dumb and decided to wait for the Hasbro one and assumed it would go on clearance. Instead it sold out (Frustratingly I rushed down and bought Hot Rod on release and he's still on the shelves).

Anyway, my local Hobby shop has been out of stock on Takara Grimlock for ages and when they did have him he was $250 ($265 USD). Yesterday they got back a limited stock of him for $200 ($211 USD) and now I'm really tempted. He's pricey, but I want him badly, especially considering his robot mode scales decently with MP10.

So here's my dilemma. I can't find a cheaper online Grimlock ANYWHERE, due to high shipping to Australia, and I'm nervous about ordering online anyway because if I dropped money on him and he wasn't mint I'd be devastated. Is it worth the $200 price point? I don't want to miss out on this guy again and then have them never restock.

I'd say that's a good price for the Takara version. I paid about $150 for mine when it launched. But if you can shave off a few dollars, I'd try getting him on the boards. I saw a guy selling his Takara copy here for about $175, if I'm not mistaken.

$211 is about $50 over what I paid for Takara MP-08, but when your choices are so limited, I'd say go for it. Grimmy's a hell of a figure. And I doubt we'll see a third run of him anytime soon.

That's a great price too, but postage is likely to be in the $30-60 to get it safely to Australia if its from America.

Then definitely jump on it. You're eliminating the wait and extra postal charges by buying him outright at the shop.

Not too sure what you're waiting for...

I know I paid $150 plus shipping from BBTS for the first release. Puts me probably at about $159 USD.

If you can get it for $210 USD and that eliminates the $30-60 shipping charge you wouldn't be that far off compared to what most of us paid originally to get it.

That's a good price, $60 markup around 3 years after release on a MP figure, I'd say go for it!

Ya only paying $50 to cover time, shipping, piece of mind and for a toy that is 3 years old and still in demand.

Do it, the mark up is negligible.

Do it man. I snagged one from BBTS When they had two of them at $175 . which should be delivered today.

$200 is a great deal considering what it would cost you for shipping and etc.

id grab him as your not likely going to see him at a retail setting again.

Like other people have previously stated, $200 sounds like a good deal, especially considering shipping costs. I'd go for it.
