Getting a new(ish) pc soon. It is by no means a powerhouse, but it will suffice for daily surfing and use of MS Office applications. It has an Intel dual core E5500 chip, 2 gigs of RAM, onboard video and sound. I've never been a fan of onboard video, so I'd like to get a PCI-E video card so I can at least play a few games here and there without having the system bottleneck because of the onbaord video. Since my new PC will still be at the low-end spectrum, I don't see the need to buy a crazy expensive card, so I figured I'd get something with 512 megs or 1 Gb of video memory. But what should I get? I've been out of the loop for a few years, so I don't really know what ot get, there are literally hundreds of Radeons and NVidia cards out there.
I've got a spare nvidia 9800 I wouldn't mind unloading. Name your price (has HDMI, VGA, and DVI outputs and I have PLENTY of adapters if you need 'em)
