Yotsuba&! FINALLY got a new publisher, and starting with book #6, it will be released again in North America! Yen Press - New York Comic Con - Anime News Network http://yenpress.us/?page_id=636 For those that didn't know, ADV Manga had the license, and released books 1-5 from 2005 to 2007, then just stopped and put it on indefinite hiatus. They admitted to getting lots of hate mail, but said they frankly had no idea when, if ever, the next book would be released. Well, looks like they finally gave the license to someone who is actually going to publish books with it.
It's out, for those that care. http://www.amazon.com/Yotsuba-Vol-6...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1252381383&sr=8-1
I picked up all 6 re-released books yesterday after what's seemed like an eternity of waiting. I'm so happy this got picked up again this series is so awesome (and what do you know a series Gog and I both like)
I got to disagree. I don't know if they could really get the same charm across in an anime. Also, brb buying.
We do agree from time to time. We both like GunBuster! I am glad you like this though. I have to agree with Brawlastator, I think Yotsuba would be better off as a manga. Azuma, the creator, agrees and has vowed to not let it happen.
BTW, Volume 7 comes out in December. Also, every year Azuma makes a monthly calender that consists of real life photographs with Yotsuba drawn into them. They are works of art, and I was sad that he was too busy to make one for 2009. Well, preorders for the 2010 version have gone up. I preordered mine from yesasia.com, same place I bought the 2008 one. I highly recommend it if you are a Yotsuba fan. Here are some examples of my 2008 one:
Gunbuster's alright, I like it but I wouldn't say I'm a uber-fanboy of it. And yeah I wouldn't have any objections to a anime series of Yotsuba but I dont think it really needs it as it's perfectly serviceable the way it is.
