Heck, from what we have heard the guys making these toys ALSO are the designer for several third party TF companies. It would be funny if someone like FansProject just released a Cop-Tur and Crasher, designed by the same people who made the other for Action Toys.
Since they are making the Bike Robo mold, I wonder if thy will make Bike Robo II here? It's the only other color that actually appeared on screen.
Comparison with the show: Okay, they are on a mountain, and the big robot is behind it, but still Rod is about as tall as the upper leg of the big guy.
Go with what you know. I voted Hans-Cuff because he was my first g0-bot, I think dumper was my second.
Instead of voting in the poll, I'll re-post my list of wants. These guys aren't including the ones we've already seen. Buggy Robo (most wanted) Scooter Robo Missile Robo Ambulance Robo Police Robo Jeep Robo Trailer Robo Big Truck Robo Submarine Robo Limousine Robo Cessna Robo Harrier Robo Zero Robo Falcon Robo Cross Rock Mask Rock Magna Rock Diamond Man Ruby Man Battle Rock Mecha Rock Guts Rock Casmodon Falgos Zarios Gildis Baldas Devil Rock Geiger Rock Double Rock Sand Rock Blood Rock Amazon Rock
I was checking out Counter-X and noticed the mention of frequent background appearances of a bright green Ambulance Robo (Something that I was completely oblivious to during my viewing of the series). That's a redeco I'd like to see released, even if only for comparisons to movie Ratchet. lol
Green Ambulance Robo was one of the Bug Newman bandits in episode 10. Also, he drinks from a straw from his chest, since he has no mouth! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guSI9RDkj2w&t=800
The Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos story is set on the Planet Cronos, which is populated by a race of intelligent living robots called Machine Robo, who come in numerous forms. Even the human looking ones are androids. The humanoids are called Cronos Tribe, the jets are Jet Tribe, and the others are Battle Tribe, but they seem to mix freely. They populated this world after fighting in some big war, and deciding war was bad and they didn't want a part of it. They never get into detail as to who made them, but they imply these robots are alive. They eat, grow, marry, reproduce, etc. So they live, train in martial arts, run mines, pick flowers, and go about their lives. Then in the first episode a group of aliens invade, because they are looking for an energy source that the lead alien bad guy thinks he can use to live forever (he's very old and dying). They think that an old martial arts master hid the energy source on Cronos. The master is killed in the first episode, but his son Rom, daughter Leina, and two friends Rod and Jet fight off the bad guys. The rest of the show is a series of villain of the week as the aliens send down various monsters, aliens and robots to search for clues to the energy source they know is hidden somewhere. Rom and his friends oppose them, and make friends with other Machine Robos. Eventually A big war breaks out between the two sides.
Holy crap, that's perfect! They seriously need to rerelease this set, because the $400+ that's being asked for it on the secondary market just ain't gonna happen.
I would be hesitant to pick up most of the Rocks, because honestly, the old Rock Lords toys are pretty cheap and look fine to me. Updated versions would cost more and only have better joints. Maybe the Jewel Lords or Fossil Lords I would get because those are expensive. It would be nice if a whole wave of these guys was Gettai Saurer (Fossil Saurus).
Holy crap that's not even close to the toy. Diaman has some artistic license to make him look more heroic, but is still pretty close. I'm always more about the toys than any other media attached to them, so if the Gokin Machine Robo line keeps up or improves on the general quality of these first 3 figures, I'm okay with any characters that they want to turn out. I do have a Tux (Limousine Robo) and Snoop (Blackbird Robo) in my display cases, and I overall am tickled by the fact that Tux has a top hat, so I'd like Limousine Robo. Though I realize he is a pretty unlikely choice. I can't say I'm interested in any Rock Lords. A few years back, I collected them all due to nostalgia, and have sold them off already. I wish they'd stop including the stands at some point in order to bring the cost down. After the first & second releases, I'm already going to be swimming in them. And yes, I did vote for every figure in the poll except for Scooter.
either its just me the toy version looks like an older version of himself.... who gained weight & grew a yellow beard.
While I understand your point, I have to disagree. I feel that the nature of their alt modes could make for some very dynamic bots with fantastic articulation. I'm still trying to complete my MOSC collection of Rock Lords and would love an updated set to put in front of them.
