Did I miss this elsewhere, or am I just having a stupid moment?

Is this thing Wi-Fi only? Because they mention "WIRED" connection, yet, myself AND my sister's boyfriend haven't been able to figure out where to put an actual wire connection. If there is one, that would be awesome, otherwise I have to go steal my Wireless Network crap from the ex.

You need a special adapter for a wired network.

I think you can just use a Ethernet to USB cable.

The WiFi USB Connector is great, as that's what I'm using. It's pretty cheap (around $30 Canadian).

You install the software (which is pretty easy) that comes in the box, plug the adapter in an available USB port on the back of your computer, and you're done! Instant internet access.

For me, I had a hard time connecting my Wii to the internet. I would sometimes get a connection and then immediately its gone. I had to do a lot of things until I read elsewhere on some other board that I might need to change the radio channel on my router to a different channel. It's a bitch, but at least its working now.

The ethernet jack really should have been built-in.

the USB-Wifi Dongle has been out for a while....

the USB-Ethernet hasn't....and someone said that you can't use the ones that you'd use for a computer (ie. the D-Link one), you have to wait for the one specially for the Wii.

It should be out, as I think they came out earlier this year to correspond with Metroid Prime Hunters' release on the DS. It is more of a Nintendo DS product, but it can work with the Wii, as there are connection options for the USB attachment in the internet section of the Wii setup.

I purchased mine from a friend, but I do know he bought it at some store here in Canada, although not sure where. If you can't find it at any store, Nintendo's website or other retailer sites should have it.

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7621996&type=product&productCategoryId=pcmcat45400050010&id=1130985379274

Wow, it looks like the price has gone up for this. It was only $29.99 CAN when my friend bought his. Nintendo's site does have it for $34.99 USD, so that's a bit better. Make sure if you do buy this to download the latest version of the software needed from Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connection site, in the event the version the connector comes with is outdated. If you try using outdated software, you won't be able to connect. I think they're up to version 1.4 or something.

    Hope this helps.....

It uses the same dongle that the DS uses? WICKED COOL. That makes life so much easier.
