I just got him Today and man he is Highly Detailed.
"I'm really excited to be here, can't you tell?"
Congrats, man! I played both games and I really enjoyed it! How do you find the quality of the toy? Is is sturdy? I read on a website or on this board that the first batch of the toys had some serious QC problems.
I got mine, both of them actually, but I havent opened them yet. Kudos, it is a sharp looking figure
This is my second one. I sent my first back after opening the package and took him out his left foot fell off and after looking at it teh ball joint that hold it on was broke off inside his foot. So Digital-Toys sent me another one and here he is. So far so good. I do think that teh ball joints on teh legs and arms look to be easily breakable. I think they could have designed them better.
Actually it's an issue with the first shipment of the figures, the factory cheapened out on the joints initially.
I got the Flaming Chains version. I like the Golden Fleece armor, but I wanted the chains. I haven't opened mine yet, I hope to do so on Sunday. I hadn't heard anything about QC problems, makes me scared to open it.
On a somewhat side note, was anyone else disappointed that the Blades of Athena in the first game were blue, but in the second game, they look like the Chains of Chaos? I prefer the blue coloring myself.
*DESPERATELY WANTS THIS*
They screwed up the Gorgon head accessoiry, though. He had to get it from a fat Gorgon instead of the much skinnier Medusa, and since this is the Golden Fleece version...
Kratos: The personification of BAD ASS.
I hope they make one with his God armor on. That was sweet.
Very cool! I'll get one eventually
How poseable is he?
I know I hope they do considering that these are from GoWII
He has 18 points of articulation. 2 wrists on ball joint, 2 elbow joints, 2 upper arm joints, 2 rotating shoulder joints, 1 head on ball joint, Waist can turn, 2 leg joints, 2 upper thigh can turn, 2 knee joints, 2 ankles on ball joints.
I got the flaming chains one yesterday and I really like it. Pretty articulate, however it can be very hard to balance him with these huge flaming chains coming out all over the place. Still, he's very cool.
Yeah read about it, those China factories are really too much! Always looking for short cuts...in case anyone thinks I'm racist, I would like to point out that I'm chinese too.
Ra88 = I get your point regarding the Medusa's head but I think she's more popular than her er, 'fat' sister! LOL!
I got both the flamming blades and this one! I opened up this one and his torso spilt into two peices I sent it back to neca still waiting on my replacement!
I was goona open of the flamming blades but im half afriad to! I was goona ask this in my other post when I posted about it breaking like that! But does the flamming blades one have the same issues as this one does or did?
I think so - especially if its from the first batch...maybe you should consider opening it up so if if it breaks, you can immediately exchange it back.
I've had no problems with my flaming blades one. I decided not to get the Medusa one due to all the issues surrounding it.
Without giving too much away to people who haven't played the second game, does anyone else think it's odd that these GoW II figures don't have a scar on his abdomen?
Well...maybe Neca were either too lazy or they didn't want to "spoil" the game. If I remembered correctly, the figure was supposed to be released around the same time of the game's release.
