you might want to look at that new sword for classics prime/City Commander its basically a much improved design that should still work with GFC/Omega prime
No kidding. I remember making the decision way back when to get Brave Maximus instead of the set. I have little doubt I made the right choice, but with aftermarket prices being even worse and there being not that many... Anyway, sorry to say that outside of a repro/KO, you're not going to find it. Those who have it aren't going to be eager to part with them without selling the whole shebang.
Transrepro might have what you want the GFC sword was basically Grand maximus's sword so it should work fine Link
