the paint works are perfect, but i gotta be honest, i too still see more sideswipe than turbo.
i still like your first version with the drift mold better for the overall body shape, but i like the new head you sculpted on the r/a body.

Oh, the head. I didn't see that. The head looks cool but I was going to go get a new figure just for a head so I trimmed Red Alert's head and painted it up. This head does not look like the head in the cartoon though.

I know. Paint any lambo red and it's Sideswipe. That's why I went with the animated style head rather than the toy version.

Ovaerall the figure is great, the paint-aps and small mods you did on the head are enough to differentiate it from the Sideswipe mold, and at the same time making it look very close to the Turbo cartoon model head, while giving it a modern redisgned look (a la classics).

My only suggestion would be to try to find a way to make the car mode's roof movement independet from the head, taking away the pop-up mechanism so that you can leave the windshield looking upwards... though that would also require modding the neck so the face doesn't end up being partially covered up.

But again, all in all, you did a great job,it's just that we're all to familiarized with the swipe mold and it's really hard to see past it without any heavy modding.

I think if there was a swivel and hinge joint, that could work. You would think that with all the repaints ever made by Hasbro, people could look past a custom repaint too.

Yeah, I know... and the fact that Turbo's color scheme is mainly red doesn't help. Like you said before, paint any Lambo in red and you automatically see a Sideswipe there. Blame it on Hasbro for making such an iconic character :lol .

However, I still think you did an awsome job! And I forgot to mention it before, but I like this version a lot more than the one you did with the Drift mold :rock .

I like my Drift one better but I do think I did a better job with the paint on this one.

Great work! I agree with the others who mentioned the head swap between your two Turbos. While the Sideswipe head looks more like Turbo than Drift's head, I think what makes Drift's body look more like Turbo is the windshield facing up in robot mode and the high shoulders. That was always what stood out to me about Turbo, that he had those big things on each side of his head...

You could have picked up the clear KO kit and made his legs clear! This looks great!

yes sir I did! And I love him. Simply adore him. Great work!

Why would his legs be clear? Not trying to argue or anything, just trying to figure out why they should be clear. :)
