What Classics-styled figures would work easily as repurposed Classics Gobots? Also, what are some good figures that would only require minimal work to be used as Classics Gobots? Only looking for scout class and deluxe class suggestions.

I think the classics Ramjet mold would make for a decent Leader One (minus the cone head, of course). I also thought Animated Oilslick would make for a good Cy-Kill, but that doesn't have the CHUG aesthetics...

Yeah, I use Fracture as Crasher, I've thinking about Ramjet into Fitor, U2.0 Starscream into Leader-1, the upcoming Asian exclusive Wheelie and Swerve with head swaps into Crossword and Small Foot to fill out the ranks a bit.

RotF Deadlift is a homage to Spoons and TFCC Cop-Tur is based off of Cop-Tur.

I use Deadlift as Spoons but TFCC Cop-Tur I wouldn't use as the Gobots Cop-Tur.

Here's who I currently use as Gobots:

Deliberate Gobot homages (i.e. Hasbro or KO company clearly meant these to be Gobots from the start):

    -TFTM Fracture (Crasher)
    -ROTF Deadlift (Spoons)
    -Botcon Bugbite (uh, Bugbite)
    -TFCC Cop-Tur (Cop-Tur)
    -Unreleased Backtrack (Night Ranger)
-KO CHMS Wild Child (Bad Boy)

Suspected Gobot homages (I feel these were probably deliberate, but can't be entirely sure):

-HFTD Highbrow (Bolt... a dead ringer in terms of color and alt mode, and his designation, "P+10" can be re-arranged into "b0l+")
-ROTF Reverb (Dart... number is different, but red/blue motorcycle color scheme is very similar)

My own additions (I sort of think of these guys as Gobots even though I don't think they were ever intended to be):

    -DOTM Skyhammer (Wrong Way)
    -HFTD Deep Dive (Dive Dive)

Some people are also planning on using the upcoming Asia-exclusive Wheelie (Jazz repaint) as Crossword, but I'm sticking with him being Wheelie myself.

(One a different note, I sure wish they would do a few more overt Gobot homages; if nothing else, someday I really, really want a Fitor from Ramjet and a Cy-Kill from Wreck-Gar.)

At the present, I use Fracture for Crasher, Deadlift for Spoons, ROTF Armorhide for Jeeper Creeper, and am working on a custom Bug Bite.

Honestly, though, I've thought about if there's any way in hell to reshell Armorhide using the Universe Hound mold for Jeeper.

Hahaha! I barely need to, though, right? I mean, everyone knows what they would look like! :D

(I'll still probably do them one of these days, I can't resist.)

Universe Smokescreen as Zeemon? Bit of a long shot, but might work as a modern update, car body painted all red and roof black.

I think a quick repaint of the Cybertron Sideways mold would make more sense for Vamp than that fiddly pile of limbs.

Not sure I saw the Bolt or Dive Dive potential homage but they both seem to work. I have an extra Tomahawk I planned on using for Wrong Way but Skyhammer may be a better choice. And Reverb is my Dart

Yeah, I'm one that has that planned for Wheelie. And Small Foot from Swerve. Fitor and Cy-Kill seem to be no brainers for an eventual homage. Atleast I hope.

:thumb  Yes, bring on the Gobots Photoshop Thread!!! :)

I always see Armorhide, mold wise, as being a good choice for Buggyman.

I can see that working but what about Zig Zag from the mold as well? Ofcourse there would be some painting needed and a head swap.

I can't see that as an homage to Puzzler. But, then again I'm not into to the PCC line.

It kinda works for me because Puzzler didn't look all that cohesive and neither does Doubleclutch in combined mode. Obviously being an all car combiner helps too.
