Due to the recent release of the SOC Bakainfu, this SWEET book that has all the Machinerobo toys from 1982-present was released. Looking through these pictures I'm seeing a bunch of figures I had as a kid and totally forgotten:

That book came out a while ago. I have a copy and if you are even remotely into machinerobo/gobots it is a great book.

Oh my bad, unless they just reprinted it. It keeps showing up at Toysdaily so I assumed it is new. Still great pictures.

Holy cow! I'm not a big gobot fan, but I had alot of them because my parents thought they were a cheaper alternative to transformers. God that brings back some memories!

Didn't know that the Rock Lords were part of the Machine Robo line in Japan. I always thought that was Tonka's own creation.

Must have book for the Machine Robo/Gobot collector. Just wish I had a region free DVD player...it would make watching the DVD so much easier than switching the code on my computer's DVD drive.

Holy crap, I never realized until now just how many of those damn things I had, and I had a couple of the bigger ones made by Popy as well.

mr7, mr9, mr18 looks familiar, mr25, mr26, mr28, mr29, mrr2, and that's just at a glance. A might have had a couple others as well. I know there was a squirt gun and a cap gun I had, I guess they weren't from the same like in Japan.

You know? If Gobots had been better animated, and had skipped the whole Rock Lord thing, thay might still be around today. Who would have every thought back in the 80's that Gobots would one day be appearing in eHobby and Botcon exclusives? BTW, great pictures of some wonderful creations. :D

I remember when I was a kid I thought the small Gobots were better than the small Transformers, but that the larger Gobots were complete garbage.

I'll never forget the parents of a friend of mine giving me the stink eye when I was 10 or 11 because I told him the Super Gobots (Bug Bite and Baron Von Joy) he got for Christmas "looked stupid".

I'd love to find some of those two-vehicle combiners - they're like the duocons minus a lot of the suck.

    Where's Puzzler?

Crap, the more i see pictures in that book the more I want it and Gobots!

BTW, Gobots duocons > TF duocons

Anyone know much about that blue figure next MR747?
What about that odd brown figure next to MRD-105?

If Bandai reissued those I would need so many new shelves it'd be ridiculous.

I don't know, I personally like Go-Bots   *dodge rocks* I still have those of my childhood, and I'll probably get more one day ;)  Most likely when I'm done catching up on Transformers.
