There's a post over at Jalopnik that details GM's plans to auction off many of the vehicles in their corporate museum. While going through the list, I noticed "Solstice "Jazz" Transformer Movie Vehicle" included in the list.

Could this mean that Jazz really isn't coming back? Personally I couldn't care less, but I figured this was worth mentioning for those that are still debating one way or another.

    Discuss.

Thanks, Mystery Mod, for fixing my title.

More like GM Doing it to make some clear cut PROFIT to me. Just as long as they keep the last 2002 Camaro. would be a shame for them to sell that off.

Edit: Man they are selling some NICE cars, I wish I had cash to buy some.

Well yeah, and a desperate move if you ask me. There are indeed many, many amazing cars on that list. Being a Firebird fan (own an '87 and 96), I'd especially love to own the last of those, and the 1991 Trans Am Twin Turbo...drool.

if Jazz was gonna come back, Bay or hasbro would buy the car and there would be no problems.

I don't think that selling off the car from the first movie would mean no more movie Jazz ever. Since the robots can pretty much scan on the fly then there is noting at all to stop the film makers from using some other car as Jazz.

Really the only thing that can keep Jazz from coming back will be how dead is dead when we are talking about robots from another planet.

Well, they use more than just one car for shooting and such, but the fact that the solstice has not been seen on set like the others, and none of the others appear to be retired to the museum or relegated to the garage sale does not bode well for his return, in my opinion. I doubt very much that Michael Bay or Hasbro would buy the car for use in a film that's done filming, also.

Mostly Megatron. And considering the circumstances of his death, who can say we're surprised he's back?

Darius McCrary is reportedly back as a voice actor in ROTF......the fact that GM is selling off vehicles in it's own museum because they're cash strapped has no bearing on the past or future significance of these vehicles.

In other words, the studio, hasbro and the writers already did what they're going to do and the GM museum has no affect on it either way.

Just because Jazz isn't in the GM museum doesn't mean he isn't a character in the movie. They're also selling a Dale Earnhardt 1997 Intimidator Monte Carlo. Does that mean he all of a sudden isn't one of the greatest race car drivers ever just because his car isn't in the GM museum anymore?

Have you even watched a full NASCAR race, Terrorcon? NASCAR is a very legitimate racing series with great drivers. Just last week, Carl Edwards beat Michael Schumacher in the Race of Champions.

GM have a deal in place for using their cars in the TF movies.
If GM go under in the near future, surely there may be the possibility that TF3 will have a different car maker sponsor.
Almost everyone may get re formatted for TF3 into Toyotas or Nissans or some other car company that manages to pull through the crisis with cash to spend.

Probably won't be Toyota or Nissan. They're suffering from the terrible economy too.

GM probably won't go under. Even if it does, I'm sure individual companies within GM will probably be sold off rather than just disappearing.
It might even be like the deal Ford had with Eon Production for Bond films. Ford had 3 movie deal with Eon, but Ford sold Aston Martin before Quantum of Solace, but that didn't stop Q from getting Bond another Aston Martin. And the baddies got Ford Flexes... Which are very comfy and functional, just not intimidating enough.

I saw the picture on the newspage and immediately went, "OMG HE'S ALIVE!"

And then I found out they were selling him.

Are the proceeds going to a charity? I mean, realistically, there solstices are a dime a dozen in Southern California...There aren't that pricey either. Hell, for 200 bucks extra, I'm sure you can get a metal Autobot insignia for the hood ornament.
