I just reached a very frustrating snag in my customization.

I was trying to build a leader class sized rotf scavenger out of cardboard. I started by buying up some cheap rough cardboard at a chinese store .. which bonds perfectly with standard super glue.

However, that store, does not have any white cardboard in stock.

So I went to another store to buy white cardboard. I came home tonight, and after spending an hour carefully shaping and cutting out all the white parts of scavenger. I discovered to my dismay, that the damn thing just won't bind.

I opened a fresh bottle of superglue to no avail.
The superglue just cannot adhere to the smoother white cardboard.

The surfaces of the cardboard are different.

Well..... I don't think cardboard is the best material to make a scratchbuilt custom.

If it's a statue/bust of some sort, then that seems palpable, but a transformable figure out of cardboard might not work well.

As for the glue not bonding... Maybe it's the surfaces? I honestly wouldn't know.. Sorry!

Styrene sheeting is best. A little harder to cut, but it is far more durable.
