The Stand Alone Complex series has been so completely and consistently magnificent that I would buy Solid State Society on name alone.

That said, the trailer is excellent. And it sounds like Yoko Kanno has come through for us yet again.

The themesong collaborations with Origa for the SAC series really are outstanding, aren't they?

Definitely. The music has been outstanding for SAC and makes the show just that much more. I hope they do a theatrical release here in the States when it comes over. I'd drive a while to see it.

Indeed. They've created a unique sound that's helped to give SAC an equally unique character.

    Sold.

I dubiously picked up the first series boxset last week hoping that it would have the characters and setting of the film without the drying paint pacing and it turned out to be the most entertaining SF series i've seen in years.

As I already own every release of SAC that's been put out so far, I think it's a given I'll pick this up as well.

I'm actually going to sit down and finally watch 2nd GIG disk 6 today, finally. And to think, 7 is only a month away.... mmmm.... season case... mmmmm.

So the whole acronym would be GITSACSSS. Imagin if there's a sequel.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complexe: Solid State Society 2: The revenge of infinite subtitles.

Is there a R1 dvd box set of GITS:SAC seasons 1 or 2 yet? I'd pick up this whole series in a heartbeat if the DVDs were not $30 each, and the show was not on Adult Swim all the time anyway.

Anyway, Im very much looking forward to this.

My friend Ed and I saw the first GitS Movie in a small local theater when it came out. I have bought both movies ( the original a couple of times) and both series since the start, just waiting for Gits SAC 2nd Gig discs 6 & 7. This series and just a few others (TF included) are the only thing that I have bought on DVD since January.

Word. That's been a large part of what makes that series so rich; it's a delicious audiovisual feast.
