This is my first transforming Lego creation, in virtual form. Based on a project I did in a 3D design class last year, this piece transforms from a giraffe to a whale, and has a pseudo-hybrid mode in the transformation process. Perfect transformation (no parts-forming), and only $85 :) sly2:)  to buy the pieces from Lego!

I'm really happy with it, let me know your opinion.

I didn't realize it was "girwhale" as in giraffe-whale 'til seeing the pics. I was expecting something Invader Zim-themed. XD

But, this is really cool. :thumbs2:

Thanks for the comments. Sorry about the apparent name misconception, no GIR to be found here. Maybe eventually I'll try one with a robot mode, but that really wasn't the point of this.

That's a very cool concept for a Mutant. Why did you choose those two animals specifically?

Hey, thanks! Mainly it just took a lot of patience.
The original assignment in the class I took was to make a hybrid creature out of used materials. I thought a giraffe-whale would look like a pretty cool sea monster so I went with that. Someone else in the class picked the same two animals, so I decided to differentiate mine by making it transform. Cool thing is, mid-transformation is that hybrid creature, so you could almost say it's a triple changer.
