That's pretty jacked up.
You mean that is not what is really supposed to happen!?!
Holy shit, thats horrible! Poor girl
Yeah that sucks.
Good God; what a horrible tragic thing to have happen when one is just trying to enjoy themselves.
Makes me think when I ride amusement rides...
Seriously. Usually people are doing shit they aren't supposed to be and they pay the price. The fact that thus far, it appears there was a malfunction of somesort, makes this disconcerting to say the least.
WTF kind of malfunction rips off your feet? The way they explain the ride, I can't see how that's even possible.
Guy at work was just talking about this, it happened right down the street from here - really sucks if it was a ride malfunction.
Wow... Like drippy said generally people that get f'ed up at an amusement park are proving Darwin right, but if it is authentically an equipment error Six Flags is going to have a tough time of it.
The ironic part - if you watch the video clip on the site, it shows an ad for Six Flags before playing the clip!
That is just so horrible!!!
I have ridden on the superman at six flags new england and i just cant see how your feet would get cut off.
They said on the news that a cable snapped, I'm guessing it whipped around and cut her feet off.
That would suck really, really bad.
And too make it even worse she is now longer tall enough to even ride the ride....
Oh I'm going to hell for that one...
Final Destination anyone?
Well that's scary. I just took a group of students to this same part this past spring.
Doubt the school will let me take that trip now, at least for a few years.
This is a Terrible thing.
If the cable snapped, could it have dropped the ride to the ground and caught her feet under it? What are chances of the cable actually whipping around and cutting off both feet?
