Hey maybe there is hope for the joes.

 

No way on Earth is G.I Joe better than Transformers. Saw a clip of it in the cinema and it looks shite. Plus there is a blatant move that they stole from TF1 - the slo-mo one where Ironhide is firing his missiles at a D-Con and somersaults over a crounching woman.

G.I Joe sucks!!!!!!!

 

Well ROTF look amazing from the previews and look how that turned out lol.
Maybe the movie will suprise you, instead of sucking like ROTF it will be a good movie.

I never was a Joe fan, so I'll be waiting for DVD... or maybe free on tv...

 

No for the simple reason that GI Joe the Movie looks like Team America except not actually intended as parody.

 

The only way GI Joe could be any good, is if it wasn't called GI Joe. It looks like it might be enjoyable, but no way it could ever live up to the cartoon.

And yes, those of you (aprim) who thought ROTF sucked, you're fucking nuts. It was awesome, and couldn't be beat out by anything out right now (or anytime soon.)

 

Maybe GIJoe will cross over w/ transformers. Wouldn't that put a damper on things?

 

From the looks of it, I doubt Joe will fare better than Year 1. (or any of the other box office flops) Then again, you never know...

 

And those that think is was good (firehawc_69)really must be fucking blind or 11 years old.. I see it twice and really was disappointed.

BUt anyway I really dont expect much from GI Joe but I think Ill see it. At Least snake eyes looks like snake eye.

 

The only people in G.I. Joe that has any reason to be dressed in skintight black is Snake-Eyes and the Baroness. The movie itself may be ok, but it will certainly stray pretty far from int's G.I. Joe roots.

Then again if they have Roadblock say 'Who wants a body massage?" The movie will win, no questions asked.

 

There is no physical way for GIJOE to be any good, it has a Hack Writer and Hack Director.

I don't care to read reviews, Especially reviews which begin " Oh I remember the PSA's and the cartoon " .. I stop reading right there.. the G.I.JOE Cartoon. Is. Crap. And should not be the basis of a film. Hasbro used to barely acknowledge it, and I wish they would stop entirely.


And for as big of a screw up as I consider ROTF to be.. I can't believe the movie with bogus looking CGI, and more changes to important characters than the Bayformers movies could ever dream of... could possibly be better than it.

 

Wow, a lot of butthurt (aprim and firehawc_69) in this thread. A message to you guys; turn it down a notch. Let the box-office take do the talking and respect others opinions on RotF, it's really not that hard to do. Take a breath.

 

I think the GI Joe cartoon should be taken as amusingly camp. I don't think it was ever meant to be taken that seriously.

 

Sounds an awful lot like the G1 cartoon to me. Maybe I'm just crazy!

 

Theres is no way that GIJOE will out sell ROTF. But that don't mean its a better/worse movie.
Butthurt?? not really sure what that means, but for the most part I try to respect others.

 

Better than ROTF? Remains to be seen, I say.
