    Hey guys....

I am trying to buy a metallic Guttur. Any ideas of the cheapest place to get a mint-in-box (MIB) or a new one? Thanks so much

I'll second this request. I think I've talked myself into trying GP and want to get a metallic Guttur but they're all sold out everywhere. I assume he was the first release and Grassor was the second?

Yes, metallic Guttur is their first figure. Spring 2015. Metallic Grassor is their fourth (late spring this year).
It's a bit hard to find a new metallic Guttur (chrome is still in a lot of places)...

Just done installing the new hip piece for my chrome guttur. Now he stands perfectly without any issue at all. It might take some time to changevit out but the end result is great. Highly recommended to change it.

Got my replacement hips for both chrome and metallic and they look the same. Didn't notice that on the original figures. Anyone notice this? They sent out on 8/10 and I got them 8/22 from ToyDojo. I guess they just sent out a batch of hips to TD to have them distribute the hips in the US. Does anyone have a quick guide to do the hip swap? Is it like the old fix for Guttur's hips?

I thought the Chrome Guttur didn't have hip issues? That's why there was no replacements sent in with Chrome Grassor??

It didn't have the issue, so they didn't put replacement parts with Grassor.

But the all new hips for metallic Guttur coming with metallic Grassor are even better (new ratchets) so you can try and ask Giga if they can send you a copy...

There were people with chrome Guttur asking GP if they were going to issue the new hip design for chrome Guttur. Even though they improved the hips for chrome, there is still some forward-backward play in the ratchets. I asked GP for hips for chrome and metallic (I have both), and it turns out the hip parts they sent were identical. Just installed the new hips on my chrome, and it is SOOO much better. There's no leg sagging whatsoever holding him horizontally. Very solid.

BTW, I was having a hard time finding the repair guide and found a video done by TheChosenPrime buried in this thread. The pegs holding the black parts surrounding the hip ratchet are super tight, and I ended up breaking them trying to separate the pieces to get them off the ratchet. They line up fine anyway, but just an FYI.

Also the new hips may have been announced after chrome Grassor was released.

Metallic was always stated as the "limited" release (molds would be modified for the chrome version), so I don't think they will be reissuing it. I know you shouldn't have to modify a toy that should be complete out of the box, but it's a pretty simple swap. I actually enjoyed taking it apart and appreciate more the engineering behind the product.

Contact them. They've replaced other people's thumbs before. I've gotten replacement parts due to user damage too.

Yeah, FB is probably the easiest. I have their email somewhere but they seemed more active on FB.

Darn, chrome Guttur seems to have become hard-to-find all of a sudden and I still haven't bought it (it's literally the next thing on my list to buy). I don't really want to go the Taobao route, and shipping from US retailers is a nightmare. :(

You could try this guy, I purchased bad cube backlands from him. Up standing guy Ozformers Transformers Collectors Australia - View Single Post - Xin - 3rd Party - In-stock/Pre-order/After-sale - update. Granted he is Australia based he may ship to NZ for you? His price is really cheap! I got mine for $105 AUD from Taobao and with shipping it was probably $130 ish. So Xin's price is very competitive.

PM me if you like and I don't mind receiving it and forwarding on to NZ. I'm originally from NZ (Welli) and don't mind helping another countryman out.
