I expected something a bit more flashy. So I'm happy to watch the movie with my $15 Autobot logo shirt. Or maybe something non geeky altogether.

Yeah, they are a bit plane for $30. The only thing that's tempting me is the fact that MONTHS back when they first talked about them on the Michael Bay website is that much of the money would be donated.

I made my own with a black T-Shirt and one of those home iron-on HP packs. It came out a lot nicer than that and really got people's attention. I've been wearing it for about a week after we saw them for the first time on Bay's blog.

Of course, as with all home-made things like that, it just did not last - so for the last month it's been pretty much a mowing-the-lawn shirt.

I'd prefer a censored one, so I don't have to worry about forgetting I'm wearing it and going to drop old clothes off at the church or something.

Um, yeah "giant Fucking Robots are coming' doesn't really advertise our fandom IMO.

While a cool shirt, its that type of mentality that belittles our fandom.

No, thats exactly the kind of mentality that I think makes OTHER robot fandoms so cool, the love of hot blood and cool action, robots for the sake of robots, while the stereotypical Transformers mentality is

"Yay, Transformers are kind of cool so long as they don't offend my 1980's sensibilities, but I'll still buy three, one to open, one to keep MIB, and one backup MIB in case my other MIB one gets exposed to oxygen. Why do I like Transformers again?"

jk, don't get mad guys

Yeah, Transfandom is pretty much like the annoying little brother to the main mecha fandom

i wouldn't be comfortable wearing that shirt anywhere. the language doesn't bother me personally, but i know too many people who would take offense along with most parents.

now the barricade police shirt i would pay $30 for. if it was humanly possible to find one.

No offense taken, I just like to think that TFs have become over the years alittle more than simply being giant fucking robots fighting and smashing shit.

Its reducing what we love to its most common Denominator. 80s mentality have nothing to do with what I said, but I forget that everything regarding Transformers goes back to G1 no matter what.
