Based on what images I've seen of giant squids that washed ashore after they died, that eye looks like it might belong to a giant squid. Which is actually pretty cool considering how far down they live. For that to have washed up on the beach is pretty amazing. I mean, giant squids themselves hardly ever wash up on shore, so the chance of an eyeball making it is even slimmer.
