I was really excited to pick up this issue this week. When I looked for it at my usual comic shop they said none came in. They claimed there was "no way" they'd forget to order it and it was probably delayed. *Right* Luckily I went to the next closest comic shop and found the issue on the stands. :)  Of course I picked up the gorgeous battle scene cover and I can't wait to unite all 5 covers together. The issue is a blast featuring gorgeous art as usual from Joe Ng. Really great to see some of my favorites like Prime and Hotrod already in the mix. Loved the "Grimlock MAAAAADDD!" scene. Serpent O.R. jumping down from the ceiling on top of the good-guys was very badass. :thumb  The part where Serpent O.R. scanned Grimlock's inner workings and analyzed his spark was very cool. The splash page where Serpent O.R. used his tentacles to cave in all of the walls was one of my favorite scenes! Great to see the Predacons and the Seacons duking it out. The scene where Piranacon emerges from the cybertronian waters was great. The fight between Predaking and Piranacon was pretty cool but could have used a little more action. I definitely enjoyed this issue and can't wait for the next installment!:rock

Is there any word that Cobra-La and Unicron are in this volume?

I'm really enjoying this series so far. It was cool to see them using Prime's WWI origins as an archivist. And yes, the Predaking vs. Piranacon battle was awesome.

I picked this up along w/ the TF G1 book. And I gotta say, that I'm still liking this book more than the G1 book.

Only thing I don't understand as of yet, is why the US gov was making Surpentor? Still scratching my head w/ that one.

i enjoyed it as a "fun" title. at least its not a boring read as the old GIJOE/TF titles could be sometimes for me.

Yeah, I'm not sure about that either. I do know though, that the Serpent OR is one of my new favorite villains.

Good issue overall, but seemed way too short IMO.

I'm really loving this series. Cobra Commander's getting all the best lines, too.

I continue to lobby for my dream ending involving the Matrix-powered B.E.T. blowing up the giant transforming Cobra-La space colony Uni-CRON.

the government was making serpentor to be a super soldier, using cybertronian technology...its part of the never ending battle on how can we beat everyone up better.....i really enjoy that tie in, and how serpentor now feels hes megatron reborn, thats pretty damn sweet....and i didnt realize til i got home and read 1 and 2 together that the covers form a large scale image....i guess that means ill just stick with this set of covers until the series is done....
