Man for this short little preview Prime kicked some ass.
gawd i love James Raiz's work
OMG that looks awesome
i hate that i couldnt get #3 but it should comein soon and i will be getting this one
Those few pages are better than the entire Infiltration run.
to each his own i guess
personally those few pages just seemed like a Dreamwave vol.1 rehash to me
only thing good is james raiz xD
Prime fighting a combiner against all odds? It's been seen before, yeah. But Prime in solo combat, leading by example, has been the standard since MTMTE part 1. Most memorably in the movie. Where are the other Autobots? Hopefully not sitting at the bottom of a lake, like in another series I could mention...
This is superior to DW V.1, thanks in a large part to Raiz. Notice how Prime looks like an actual truck in truck mode? Me wanty!
Yet another reason I loved Raiz's work. This guy is perfect for Transformers!
I get excited for every issue of this series. It's definitely superior to the IDW stuff.
I've never been into the whole GIJoe vs TFs idea but I did like that preview.
Uh...is that the Reflector group in the last panel? There's about 700 better choices for intimidating messengers than those three...
Simply superb art! The story has been gradually growing on me. If there were more time for character development, it would be much better storywise. Currently, IDW beats DDP on script, and character development. Both have great art.
I really like how Prime is drawn there. Way better than the puffy ass Pat Lee Prime.
Great stuff. Loving the art. An interesting little alteration on G1 Prime's colors.... I like it.
Sad it took Devil's Due 3 times to get it right. But major kudos.
What happened with Joe Ng handlin' the art chores?...
I'm liking this series very much!!
This is a G.I. Joe/Transformer crossover issue, correct? …so where are the Joes or even the Cobras for that matter?
I hope it doesn’t sound like I’m complaining—I’m not by any means—I just thought it was customary to show at least a 50% representation of forces is all.
I think I too will be picking up these one and probably back issues too if they look like that. I only wish I didn’t have to pay premium prices to get it—As I live in Japan, I have to deal with the reverse many of you do with overseas purchases
Awesome stuff there. Definently better than most stuff we've been getting comic wise recently.
I already commented on this but I wanted to articulate myself a little better. I just read Mark Millar's Wanted last night and found it to be a very depressing read. I realized just how dark comics have become in recent years. It's nice to have a story where heroes are heroes and villains are villains. This TF/GI Joe series delivers. It has been heavier on the TFs than the Joes. Being more of a TF fan that doesn't bother me. In fact, it makes me wish more TF comics were written this way. Prime seems strong here and not as whiny as Simon Furman has often made him out to be (as in the late Marvel G1 series and even parts of G2 and WWI). Anyway, I'm loving this series. As much as I like comics that are a little dark, philosophical and thought provoking, it's nice to have a comic that is just fun to read. I think I've looked forward to these issues more than any other (except for Beast Wars which was also great).
