Not only are we getting the original Transformers back on DVD but now JOE TOO!!!!

Excellent news. I hope that they release the entire series this time.

 

Cool, I never got the first DVD sets.

 

I have all the sets, I need the ones they didn't release.

Dude, I was watching DIC series episodes the other day and it's just painful. So far I have seen Cobra Commander and Destro cooking, Destro wearing a drill instructor uniform, Cobra Commander trying to recruit kindergardners, and Cobra robot cockroaches that are programmed to hunt out General Hawk's cookies.

And that's just the 3 episodes I already watched. I still have like 30 or so to go.

I definatly want to get these since I missed out on the Rhino Joe sets.

I tend to think that Bonnie Hammer was behind the DIC version of GIJoe. That's the only way it could be so terrible and I can justify hating it even more.

 

Yes but they never released the 2nd half of season 2. That's what I want.

But it's great to hear that they're starting to release the DVDs again. I don't suppose they'd be willing to release them backward, eh? Guess, we'll just have to be patient...again. Sigh. But it's still awesome for those who weren't able to get the Rhino sets and the new DVDs may have better special features, though the Rhino sets did a a couple of cool interviews with the voices of Flint and Lady Jaye and such.

 

I never got the Rhino versions so I'll be looking forward to this.

I'm not even bothering if they release the DIC episodes. Getting through those episodes shouldn't require physical effort.

 

Maybe we will get Gijoe extreme, that was decent.

 

Look on the bright side, all of that sounds more realistic then two heavily armed paramilitary organisations failing to kill anyone for 100-odd episodes.

Here's hoping they do one better and give us Jem fans the last half of Season Three to complete our sets/the series too. *Crosses Fingers*

 

Dude, that sounds awesome. I enjoyed the DiC series because it was so ridiculously over-the-top. I mean, Cobra Commander challenging Grid-Iron to a game of football: winner rules America?

Brilliant.

And since Shout Factory also has the license for the DiC library, if their Sunbow GI Joe sets sell well, that might actually lead to a release of the DiC seasons.

Longshot, but the best chance the DiC series will ever have of being released.

 

Can't wait. I had to pass on the Rhino sets because I was too poor to buy them after buying the TF ones.
