Was reading up on all the fun, cool news going on. Rumor came out yesterday that said Lorenzo DiBenadvasdfou, or whatever, and director Stephen Sommers were fired from the film during post-production. Same for Don Murphy, apparently. Rumor is, that the movie sucked. Badly. That the "test screenings" were horrible, that the studio wasn't impressed, and that Hasbro bigwigs were even a little "...eh?". Today, Lorenzo came out and stated that no one was fired. That the test-screenings are fine, that everyone is pleased with the movie, and that it's just getting better and better. But he refused to provide any type of evidence or proof regarding those apparent "well-received test-screenings". The rumor circulating now is that Sommers, the director, wants to be the next Michael Bay for the GI Joe movies, or at least, wants to get a reputation like Michael Bay (who went from "shitty director who blows stuff up" to "always has hot chicks in his movies and blows shit up"). But that his inflating ego clashed with studio heads, and that someone else was brought in to completely recut the movie in hopes of salvaging something. So. With all that information out there now for the public to digest ... just how bad is this movie going to be?
