Its giving people what they want, but making a movie in 2010-12 more like a cheesy 80s cartoon doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the quality.

I'm hoping for more comic influence; the cartoon I respect out of nostalgia but god it did not age well AT ALL. Hell G1 probably didn't either but I find it more enjoyable and I find G1 to be less cringe worthy by a significant margin.

Not only do they need to keep it close to ROC, now they are trying to incorporate the origional 80's? Good luck on that.

Hopefully Cobra Commander looks closer to the the carton and comics. Either the full reflective or the cloth Mask. I'd also like to see less of the accelorator suit and something more along the lines of Resolute.

Resolute was fucking awesome. Great while it lasted. Glad we are getting 7 packs. Agreed on Cobra Commander, I lean towards battle helmet because it's more practical.

I grew to like Storm Shadow's costume in the movie but still had my reservations on some of it; I hope his looks MUCH better in the movie, more ninja than athletic gear(them shoes threw it off too...wth?!).

Wha? The suit was barely in the movie. It had one scene introducing it and then one chase scene that it was actually used in, and that chase scene was one of the best scenes in the entire film.

Anyways, I actually really really enjoyed the movie, and I'm not even that big of a Joe fan. Looking forward to the sequel.

Hopefully, they'll also lose those ridiculous reactive armor cat suits. I'm pretty sure a reactive armor suit would kill the person wearing it, anyway, given the way that reactive armor works. (It's explosive.)

A shock death or two, weak characterisation, and a bit of tinkering with continuity.

Accusations that could be levelled at either ROC of Resolutle.

Love it or hate it, ROC did reasonably well at the box office, although there are mixed reports on the toys. How they're going to balance (movie) continuity with Hasbro's intention to sell more toys, i don't know.

Psh, screw Resolute, I wanna see PoC type stuff in the next movie. G.I. Joe always had that hint of future tech that Resolute just kind of skimmed over. But some of the PoC figures are down right sick.

I doubt the reactive armor they wear works the same way as the reactive armor tanks use. Though I actually liked the Reactive Armor concept, light weight, highly mobile body armor for a near future, super secret high tech fighting force? Makes sense to me. They just need to add some more color to the uniforms to match their environments...like the PoC line does with it's reactive armor wearing figures.

Honestly, as a movie, I thought PoC was better then RotF. RotF may have had better action scenes and stand out events, but PoC delivered plenty of great action and a much stronger, more coherent story. And they actually managed to make a Wayans not annoying, that right there is a huge accomplishment! I look forward to the next Joe movie, it should a be pretty damn good popcorn flick.

ick..i didn't like the original G.I Joe reruns then

I like G1 but but I wouldn't want to see the movies as exact representations at the show.

I really like the first G.I. Joe film last year and I hope they don't mess it up

    That would be great.

You can't mess up the sequel since the first was so bad. You're one of the few people that actually like it.

Yeah, just like how ROTF was supposed to be more like G1.
