I had no idea this was even in development, but it showed up in the App store last night.

It's 2.5D polygonal, like the PSP one, but in addition to Arthur, you can play as Lancelot, who has a different set of weapons. The game runs smooth and plays like a typical G&G game, but the touch controls (basic onscreen touch pad and buttons) take a bit to get used to (like ducking was annoying until I started pressing well bellow the pad). The music is straight up G&G style.

I have enough trouble playing G&G games with a regular d-pad. I can't fathom trying to use touch controls.

I think they simplified it a little. I beat the first boss with no problem, but I know what you mean. G&G games are not known for simplicity.

I think I read on Kotaku that this was not a good idea.

They don't really go into detail though.

    2.99.

I haven't played the second level, but the first one was ok. I still think tangible controls are the way to go, but we'll see how many needless deaths occur thanks to touch controls. I played the Galaga remake on the Iphone and I never had any issues. It because very second nature after a while, but you will definitly "NOT" duck from time to time when you know you pressed down.

I think they need to make a star trek ship game with touch controls. There it will fit.

If it featured Uhura I would buy an iPhone immediately.
