so yeah i'm too cheap to buy sidearm, or one of the kits on shapeways (for now) but not wanting to feel left out i got the next best thing, PCC minicons and some styrene. this one is made from Airlift. transformation is pretty basic. totally overhauled his upper torso to accomodate the popular hinge joint being used these days by kitbashers and 3rd party makers. all the rest is sheet and 3mm square styrene rod.

Not bad. You could also design your own TM and print it out on SW, of course...

Otheriwse, i like the design. I think a les monotonous paint job would help, but that's a small concern.

This is the best looking Target master I've seen yet. I love the slender design. It looks more like a weapon instead of the transforming lunch boxes that they're charging $50 plus for. Awesome job man!

I agree it's one of the best. But there are some really cool ones. I like the transformation in the last pic.

This is really cool dude! I'm really glad creative guys like you are finding some great things to do with those PCC minicons. That being said, you should definitely go order yourself a sidearm (Firebolt) set too. I just got him yesterday and side by side with Nightstick he still stands up very well. Can't wait to see your guy all detailed up!

Transforming lunchboxes?! This, I have to see - linky! :D

I must admit, I'd hesitate to call Sidearm "Firebolt", but he does still look pretty cool.

As does Airlift here. I wouldn't worry about being cheap; if it gets the job done and looks cool, then that's the key thing. This fella does both those things. Nice one. :D

Ok, lunchbox was kind of a joking exageration. But the one in the middle is just a little on boxy side for my taste. And although I like all of there robot modes, none of the alt modes are overly impressive. That's why I like eisen's so much. Nice looking robot mode and very impressive gun mode. But that's just my opinion.

Ah, I thought you might be referring to that. Yeah, Chainclaw/Fracas works reasonably well as vehicle- or shoulder-mounted weapon, but not too well as a hand-held one.

Looking forward to that. I think the problem with Chainclaw's hand-held mode is that, especially with him being face-up, he basically just looks like a robot crouching. But his transformation, among other things, reminds me a fair bit of Armada Leader-1/Clench, who I think pulls off the hand-held form a bit better. And of course, there's hints of G1 Flak in there, too. Not sure what you'll make of it, but I wondered if it might offer you a bit of inspiration... ;)

I like it it remindes me of the non-Targetmaster gun that comes with Generations Scourge.
