Well, as most people around here know, I have a soft-spot for the lil guys. The LOC/GF EZ line is pretty sweet for the most part, but there's so few characters available in the line. :(  So, I've taken it upon myself to really strengthen the line. I have all but one seeker character in my line now, and then I went and vastly improved the LOC Soundwave, created Soundblaster, and now Blaster. I've also vastly improved Galvatron, but I've not photographed him yet.

Blaster is a slightly remolded LOC Soundwave. I used the infamous custom full-sized Blaster as a basis for mine. I've not taken the Alt mode pics yet, but I will soon!

    Great stuff RL :rock

Now all we need is Hasbro to get up and make one of those and the full size version.

Very cool, its about time someone attempted Blaster, now get to work on that full size one we've all been wanting to see ;)  :D

If I had a good enough head for it, I'd LOVE to do a full-sized version. I don't have the bones to get a BTA just to get the head off it though *L*

Thanks for the praise guys :D

    Okay, well, you got praise.

Well, I'ma give you some too, because, well... it's a damn good job done, my friend. Damn good.

NOW. Your pictures are misleading. They look sloppy and amateur-ish (well, not the pictures, but the figure). The lines on the chest aren't even close to straight. C'mon, man. Seroiusly.

Okay, now that I'm done being a jerk (as much as I intended to be, but much more than is deserved)... for a figure THAT size? I've seen LoC Soundwave. I was dumbfunded by how small he was. I wanted to buy him so badly... but I'm sorry. $3.99 for a piece that size is just too much. That's like asking that price for a single minicon. Sorry, I can't do it. The art that you put into that tiny guy is phenominal. And even the completely new head!

Those criticisms were only posted because you didn't have any on this thread, and, well, every thread on a message board has to have SOME dissenting post, right? ;)

Seriously... this is one of the best obviously-not-professionally-done-but-damn-close customs I've seen.

Well considering that the BTA head was just a recolor of Alt. Skids' head, you could always get the cheaper one... but would it be the right size?

Good job on the repaint... is that an Evac head or did you mod the Soundwave head?

So has he... that's what he based this repaint on. He was referring to making his own full size version, unless you've seen a full size version for sale at your local toy store.

*L* I didn't realize the bta head wasn't a new head :(  sculptbot says the heads are NEARLY the same, the bta is ever-so-slightly larger, but he might be making a blaster head, so that could make things a lot easier. its a shame I'm nowhere near good enough to attempt to make my own bomb minion for it though.

No, that's the one we're talking about that he has already seen. You are talking about the Japanese kitbash, with the wicked cool Steejaw hex-cylinder.

I've only seen the one made from Override. Anyone have pics of the one from Soundwave w/this cylincer Steeljaw?

Redline, I'm a sucker for WST too so that looks pretty cool. Like one of the poster said though, lines are a bit off but painting such a small figure is difficult I'm sure.

Yeah it IS hard, really hard in fact. takes a lot of concentration to say the least. The cool thing is, its so small, that in hand (not in photos) the only lines that DON'T look like they're supposed to (read: straight) are the stripes painted on the wings *L*

I finally got the alt mode pictures taken guys :D
