Hey all, does anyone know how to contact Tomy? Thinking they can help me with my DMK prime kit problem. Thanks a lot everyone! OP83
yea, thanks guys, I know I had gotten to their contact info page before, but I can't for the life of me figure out how I did it....
Would takara even service a u.s. customer since they technically don't sell product in this country??
It's still thirty product to service, so I don't see why not. I was looking through the feedback thread for the kit, and a user from the here in the states got parts from them. I'm going to try PMing the member now.
unless you speak japanese, language barrier is gonna be a big problem. you''re better off contacting hlj for replacement parts provided that they had the item in stock at one point and you know their inventory number. hlj is right there in japan and can deal with toy companies' customer service directly, much better than google translate what parts you need and dealing with takara's response regarding whether they'd actually help people outside of japan and figuring out all the shipping costs/payment method/currency exchange on your own.
Funny thing is when I sent that email address a message, I got a delivery failure returned :/. Thanks though.
Yeah I don't think TakaraTomy will ship replacement parts outside of Japan. Whenever I've needed them I've had to go through the seller I got them from (who lives in Japan). Randy
I tried HLJ for replacement parts last August. They mailed me back and said that department was out of operation due to the quake. Take their response as you will,. but that's what they told me.
You wont be able to get any service directly from Takara as a customer in the US. Warranties explicitly state that they are bound to the area that the item is licensed for sale. You will have to go through the retailer you purchased it from.
well if hlj stopped doing replacement part service for now, i guess your best options are contact your seller, or contact one of the smaller english speaking seller in japan or request board members in japan to help you out.
