    Ive got a 50" pan plasma HDMI on a weak MSI 512/128bit 9500gt at 60hz with vista ult 64 bit and Media center I like it. With the FLAMER dreamscenes on it looks nasty and everyone compliments me on it.

    The pan is a 768/1080i tv set with a great picture.

    A while ago I found this place.....they used to be cheaper.

    Ill say hold out till pink friday, and see what happens,

    Second Act New and Refurbished LCD Flat Panel HDTVs, Overstocks, Brand New, Closeouts and more?

    they got 1080p sams for 1100. just a lil weary on ordering due to the refurb aspect, but kind of a good deal. and they claim theyll exchange direct from manufacturer.

    A refurb doesn't absolutely guarantee that the item was broken, or a warranty replaced item. It might've been a never used store display, it might've been a slight scratch and dent, sometimes they'll refurb simply because the box was opened and they have to make sure the item is up to snuff.

    I do recommend skipping refurbished Sony, however. When their store was open here at the Outlet mall, the guy admitted that a good portion of their stuff ended up being returned, and for legitimate reasons.

    Refurbished items can save you a lot of dough, especially at Buy.com, considering they offer free shipping on almost everything they sell, up to and including 360s and PS3s.

    DNIe - Digital Natural Image engine is produced and controlled by Samsung.

    DNIe is designed to enhance 4 key areas of a TV's display picture. DNIe analyzes any kind of input signal (HD, SD, RF or DVD) and converts it to an optimal output signal tailored to any kind of display device (Flat CRT TV, Projection TV, Plasma TV, LCD TV). The DNIe process begins with a detection of the source type, noise level, and scaling to make sure you get the best results from all the processes. The final output is a frighteningly sharp picture that makes screen a whole new viewing experience.

    DNIe enhances the following 4 areas:

    * Motion Optimizer
    * Contrast Enhancer
    * Detail Enhancer
    * Color Optimizer

    (NOTE: This blurb is not my handiwork, I just copied and pasted, but removed all of the excess jargon to make it as simple and to the point as possible.)
