I remember three or four months ago, they were talking about switching the pennies from copper to steel. The Government did that during WWII. They said the price of copper keeps going up.
No thanks to the penny changes. It costs more than a penny to mint a penny, so I'm in favor of getting rid of it altogether.
Every time I see the thread title in the forum listing, I think it says "Get ready for new... penises?" and I get a little excited because I mean really, who wouldn't want a new penis? And then I remember what the thread is about and that little bit of excitedness goes away.
Can always change it to "Get ready for Lincoln's penis" I like pennies, becasue I don't feel like throwing my nickels & dimes at bums, a waste it is. I still like spitting on quaters and rolling them down the shopping aisle. A kid always goes for it, before picking it up and going "ew man"
Yay, new pennies! It's really a waste, they should do that to the five dollar bill or just make a general collection for the collectors...because nobody gives a second thought to pennies anymore, heck, I have to superglue quarters and dimes now @ elementary school streets because kids won't pick the pennies up anymore... and yeah, I couldn't help but read that as something else besides pennies...like I said, no one gives them a second thought...
I want the crazy Mary Todd Lincoln half penny, or a penny with Lincoln shaving his beard. can't you just say "coin collectors?"
