Having him do a bit part in this week's episode blew my mind. Between him and Tim Curry in Rescue Bots, I'm really impressed with the quality of cameos in these new shows.

So on that topic: Who would you like to see do a cameo on one of the shows?

On the opposite end, I didn't like Takei as A3. His voice just didn't fit the role for me.

George Takei is Typecasted as wise mentors in Transformers.

He was Yoketron in Animated as well. Too bad no one cares about Yoketron (except like TFA Prowl and Jazz).

George was fine in the role though I would love to see Malcolm McDowell voice him.

True, Takei has taken over from Pat Morita as the "wise old Asian" role. But he's still great.

For myself, I would love to hear Christopher Lee, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart or the inimitable James Earl Jones in this/any TF feature.

I really like George Takei but I don't think he fit the role of
    Alpha Trion
for me. It might have a little to do with him voicing Yoketron in Transformers Animated, but right now it just doesn't feel like his voice and performance encompassed what I had hope out of
    A3

I hated him as A3. Anyone could've done the voice. He was good as Yoketron though, but A3 was cringe worthy.

Ole George fits the wise old warrior more than he fits the wise old sage type scholar.

Not my first choice to voice Alpha *koff*Patrick Stewart*koff*, but awesome anyway IMO.

Takei was alright for Alpha Trion. It seemed odd because he did Yoketron in Animated, but I can't really think of any other VAs who would have done the job better.

As for other cameos, I would like (though doubtful) Betty White as some random character or some other famous female to possible voice Solus Prime (like a recording or a flashback). Everyone has been asking for male cameos, why not females?

He didn't sound old or wise enough to me as Alpha Trion.

It isn't silly. Takei has a way of sounding like he's overacting with each word, so he actually sounded silly as A3.
Besides, no matter his past roles, every time I hear him talk now I think of Ricardio from Adventure Time.

Am I the only one that liked Takei's A3? What a shame.

Didn't fit the role at all. Was much better as Yoketron in Animated.

I loved Takai as Trion. Just good to hear him in Transformers again.

Bring Shatner into this and we can have all three survivors of the old Star Trek!

I liked it, but I was expecting a much older sounding voice. I probably would've preferred that

Well both Walter Koenig and Leonard Nimoy are alive, so thats at least 4 surviving actors from the original star trek. And which is the 3rd that you were thinking of?

Nimoy has been in Transformers before. I should've said those who have been involved with Transformers before.

Didn't know about the other guy.
