Funnily enough, the parcel with the Black Detail heels is on the van for delivery today, so I'm sitting waiting for it right now, as we speak! :p

However, I may need to tweak them again, to make the sprue a bit thicker, annoyingly. Hence, there might be a bit more of a delay on them being available in Black Detail.

However... even if I do have to tweak it again (and I suspect I might), they will be coming in Black Detail soon, promise. :D

Annnnnnnd just as I typed that, they arrived. I do in fact need to tweak the sprue (so there'll be a delay while I print a third and final prototype), but they're much, much, much smoother in Black Detail.

However, they're also a fair bit looser (since they don't have the more uneven surface in the joint), but I shall tweak that now, on the version with the new sprue, so the final one is nice and tight. I shall get them tweaked, and put them on the order with my Optimus Prime upgrade kit, sooooo hopefully they'll be finally finalised and ready to buy by the end of the month. :D

I shall keep you posted! :)

Rung V2 and Drift arrived in the same parcel, so I shall be aiming to get both of those painted and built this week (and once they're painted up, and I've confirmed everything's working on them, I'll put them up for sale).

    Exciting times, indeed! :D

Ooh, how'd I miss that you made Drift. He's looking good from the preview :D

How awesome will Rung V2 be? Will he finally have removable glasses? :p

Thanks very much. I'll be painting him up before I assemble him and put him on sale, so stay tuned. :D

ETA: Actually, no wonder you missed it, I completely forgot to publicise it on Twitter! D'oh!

    No. :p

Nah, he's exactly the same as V1, only with a thicker sprue, so it doesn't split when he's being printed/packed. Yeah, basically, he's exactly the same, just actually able to be sold. Well... hopefully, as long as something else doesn't go wrong... :p

Actually, another thought: with regards to the Nautica project I'm working on, I'm intrigued by what the answer to my next question will be...

Would people prefer a conversion kit, to turn Generations Windblade into Nautica, which will be as close in design to her comics-self as I can manage, but which may have some compromises to make her fit Windblade's transformation (I'm still working on the design, but she's giving some problems, namely that I'm not entirely happy about not being able to get her spot on to the character design)? OR... would people prefer a non-transforming Nautica figure, to go along with Drift and Rung, who'll look bang on to her design in the comics?

The first version would look more or less like Nautica, but with the obvious compromises to make her fit Windblade's figure, while the second wouldn't transform, but I'd work my botty off to make sure she looks like she just stepped off the page.

So, what do people want more: kit or full figure?

Make sure to go easy on the super glue :p

I'd love to see what you could do with a full figure :D

I somehow suspected you'd never let me live that down... :p

That's one vote for full figure!

    ETA:
I've ordered the third and hopefully final prototype of this, so it should be back on sale (based on delivery date) around January 23rd! Put it in yer diaries, folks!

Nice! Actually all the heels needed was to be a tiny bit longer, but these big heels make darn sure she will stand up in even more wacky poses.

That became the challenge to myself: got to make her limbo! :p

You, sir, are a legend. :D

And that's one vote for the kit. One each, now, it's getting exciting! :D

I actually like the heel spurs. They make Windblade look more effeminate and she flies so SH wouldn't have trouble keeping her balance

Oooooh, full figure is winning, so far, two-to-one.

    ETA:
Of course, I should point out that if I do make Nautica as a full figure, that doesn't preclude me also doing the add-on kit for Windblade, later on. :D

Right then... update on the heel spurs!

Shapeways sent out my order today, so barring something going catastrophically wrong, they should be back on sale by the end of this week, in both Black S&F and Black Detail. Oh, and I slightly re-engineered the joint, too, so it should give a nice, tight fit, so the heels can be adjusted to really make her stable. :D

    Annnnnnnnnd an update on Nautica!

I've decide to go with a conversion kit, rather than a full figure, becaaaaaaause... I've scrapped the idea of using Windblade as the base figure; with the best will in the world, I just could not get it to work to any kind of decent standard.

So instead, our favourite aquatic fembot is hopefully going to be based on the FOC Seeker mould. She needs some heft to her, and after playing with the FOC Skywarp I got for Christmas, I'm convinced that's the perfect figure to use.

Plus, it's covered in 5mm ports, so there's plenty of attachment points for add-ons. :D

I shall have more news when I, er, have more news... :p
