That's right: Generations - because it'll probably take me that long to get 'im done. >.>

This idea is based on my last attempt at Trailbreaker using TFTM Ironhide. After getting Topkick Soundwave modded, I tried copying some of the changes to TB, but there wasn't any simple way to keep the backpack attached. Recon 'Hide solved that all with a new backpack design that required little modding to keep the doors on his back.

EDIT: Got some Alt Prime forearms in place and modded the legs. Still need to resculpt the feet and mode the IH hands to fit. Saving those articulated blue hands for SW, and I've got an idea for some nice boxy forearms.

This is a hard character to get right but this looks promising so far. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out!

Mm, would've enjoyed a good way to get the windshield onto the chest, but I didn't want to make a huge project out of it. Figured I'd settle for the common Alternators bash of the hood-only TB, and he's already mostly black, so wahoo.

Very clever. You're right, though. No way to get the windshield onto the chest.

One question, did you need to do any modifications to the head and/or neck to fit the Swindle/Rollbar head on there or was it a straight swap?

If I recall, the head won't fit on Recon hide's balljoint. What I ended up doing (since I wanted to save Recon Hide's head n neck anyway) was take a neck I'd already built for the previous attempt. It's basically TFTM's neck with a new hole drilled closer to the front and a Stockade shoulder ballpost glued in place. The ball was a bit bigger than the Swindle/Rollbar one, but it fit with a bit of adjusting. It has the benefit of bringing the head forward while still letting me turn it back 180 degrees to fit for transformation.

quite a nice twist on the movie ironhide mold as trailbreaker custom,by the way, ever thought of "de-movie-ing" some of the details with something,or you going to just keep it there? also will you add his shoulder cannon? other then that, nice job.

As far as de-movie-ing, the idea for the lower half is to basically remove the leg automorph and resculpt the feet to keep things a bit simpler n boxier.

I'd like to replce the forearms with those from the same Alt Jeep his head came from, but the hands are currently in use on the movie Ratchet mold, sooo. >.> I might still consider replacing the forearms to something a bit boxier.

As for all the shoulder/behind-the-head-mounted stuffs, I've got that planned out. The same clip-on ball joints that held Recon Ironhide's guns into the robot/alt modes will be used to keep the EMP generator in place. Might not even need to come off for transformation. Also thinking of replacing a hand with a blaster. Lots to ponder over.

Those legs are a bitch to put back together if you take them apart. I learned that the hard way.
